  1. You live in fantasy land. You must be right her son had 16 kids with multiple mothers. He supports every single one of them with no support from the state. Or in reality land I work in one of the shitiest cities in the country. Her son went and knocked up multiple women to end up with 16 kids that are basically being raised in single mother welfare funded households. It is not the kids fault, but don't tell me it doesn't cost a ton of money to pay for someone elses poor choices. Welfare, state insurance, and a perpetuation of the bullshit cycle that we reward and encourage. "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P
  2. Dude who's giant ass are you pulling this data from? You just said: "The Cost to the Economy will be Less than It is at the Moment" -? what does that even mean? Please keep your big gov hands off of the thousands of well paid medical employees here in North East Ohio thank you very much. He is making it up, just like everything else he posts that isn't a direct quote from other source. "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P
  3. That guy is a moron. It may be his right to open carry, but he is open carrying a unloaded handgun which serves no purpose for self defense, and he is obviously trolling for trouble. Personally I am not a big fan of open carry. I don't draw attention when I am carrying my handgun. I don't scare little old ladies, and I have the element of suprise if I even needed it. I also have way less risk of some one grabbing my gun. "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P
  4. Speaking of bankers I was in the bank the other day and a woman was in there cashing a check, she didn't have a bank account, but it was written on this bank so they could cash it. She asked for some lolly pops for her grandkids etc. She then proceeded to explain to the teller that her son has had 16 kids. Her adopted daughter had 5 kids. This other one had this many kids. This woman was connected to litterally like a 100 different kids, and only two generations out. We really are doing a great job encouraging responsibility, and helping people pull themselves up from their current situation. Maybe it is the bankers fault, they must have poked holes in all the condoms they were handing out in the highschools. "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P
  5. Actually given the choice of two options ONLY, status quo, or a complete house cleaning to implement a government single payor system, my position would be just that. However unlike some of the people here I don't think everything is only black and white. You can tackel costs in the system, cut down on waste, improve medical care for the uninsured, without sacking the entire system. "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P
  6. If you don't like it go be a CEO and take a self imposed pay cut. CEO's pay has nothing to do with people buying things they can't afford. "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P
  7. It depends on how you want to solve the problem that we are facing. Look how well single payor is working for Great Britian. http://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/health-and-families/health-news/cataracts-hips-knees-and-tonsils-nhs-begins-rationing-operations-2327268.html "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P
  8. the cost to the economy will be less than it is at the moment... And you proof for that is what... the massive unfunded and unrecorded liability for medicare??? "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P
  9. Who is going to pay for the upgrading. I pay for my health care insurance every paycheck. My health care is just fine thank you very much. "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P
  10. That doesn't suprise me. Homeownership is the american way, it isn't just the dream, it is a right! Don't let all that funny economic voodoo, like debt to income ratios, and credit histories, and affordability get in the way of the dream!! "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P
  11. We agree on something Prefesser. "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P
  12. Wow what a spin. The banks were no angels, neither were the morons with liar loans that bought houses they couldn't afford because they were drinking the koolaide that house prices "never decline". The banks paid back a very large percentage of TARP. Do you think the people that took out subprime mortgages that they couldn't afford are going to write us a check for the part they played? "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P
  13. I used to buy truck parts for one of my offroad trucks from Australia. At the time the exchange rate was great, and they had some awesome parts for my truck that just weren't made stateside. "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P
  14. No way... that isn't good! We need more global warming, so we can push agendas like cap and trade. Just another way to grab revenue and power for big government. Pull revenue out of the private sector, use it to grow the government, and more importantly the government gravy train. More government workers, more people on the government teat. More loyal little Eichmanns. "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P
  15. 15K for every citizen would have done more to stimulate the shareholders of wallmart, and the local liqour store. Not to mention the fact that a large number of financial insitutions have paid back their bailout funds. How much return on investment do you think we would have gotten out of 15K of free Obama money for everyone? I didn't like the bailouts, but I am not stupid enough to think that we could have just let the system meltdown. "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P
  16. After they get done juicing the middle to pay for this, the rich dodge duck and weave, and the bottom gets their free pass there won't be much left to affoard anything beyond the basic. It is cost shifting. You take my contribution for my health care and instead of a payroll deduction that goes to Aetna it goes to uncle sam in the form of extra withholding taxes. Instead of having a pretty good choice of health care options I get stuck with the cookie cutter government bullshit, and higher taxes that far exceed what my health insurance contribution was each month. No thanks. Hell a single payor system may actually lower health care costs overall and start fixing the medical inflation problem. Guess who will get the least amount of benefit from that equation, the folks in the middle. "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P
  17. It is scary that you can't differentiate between costs, and savings. You need revenue to pay for what something costs. Less cost, savings, does not equal revenue. You can not pay for something with savings. So how are you going to pay for it. Even if you think the overall cost will be less, and I disagree considering the trillions of unrecorded liabilities that medicare is going to rack up, you still have to pay for it. I already pay for my own health care and it works just fine. I don't need the govermnet moving costs around and placing more of other peoples costs on my shoulders. "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P
  18. I wasn't addressing the cost of health care, I think health care costs are crazy myself, I was addressing the silly statement that was made: "Get your nose out of my business and let me decide what is best for my health or pay for my health care." Unless you are paying for your health care with cash you really don't have any leg to stand on when it comes to complete freedom in determining your health care. The cost saving from cutting out private insurers administrative function out of the process is only part of the equation for the suposed cost savings from universal health care. That increase the percentage of premiums (or in this case tax revenue) that goes towards actual medical costs, but that alone does not reduce medical costs or medical inflation. MA is the perfect example of universal health care causing health care costs to skyrocket. The other part of the cost savings comes from rationing care, limiting choices, favoring certain medications and procedures over others, having people wait longer for care to decrease the volume. My resistance to universal health care is that it will be implemented in a half assed way that will funnel more money away from the private industry than it nets cost savings for. And at the end of the day it is going to cost me in more in my lifetime in the form of increased taxes, and my quality of care will go down over my life time, when compared to my employer provide health care that I pay into. "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P
  19. Those morons attempt to destroy very expensive property on camera every time the foul a prop or try some other bullshit. I am suprised there hasn't been Japaneese lawsuits with similar results. Would it really suprise you if they damadged fishing gear. They operate under the premise that two wrongs make a right. If you are fishing illegally, or I think you are filling illegally, then my illegal act of distruction of property is justified and excused. They are just as bad as all the different religious terrorists. Line them up and shoot the dirty hippies for being pirates! "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P
  20. Whose nose is in your health? If you pay cash dollars out of your own pocket you can have what ever health care you want. If you are on a government (state or federal) or private insurance plan you need to shut up and deal with what they dictate. Health care is still supply and demand whether you like it or not. The worlds best surgeon in a specific procedure can only perform so many procedures per day, week, month, and year. That means not every one can get access to the best, and not every one can afford the best. If you want your own say the stfu and pay your way! "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P
  21. Wow a news article about medicare for all, on a political action groups website who promotes universal healthcare. That right there some stellar fact finding, no bias in that article. Here is the bio on the author: "Johnathon Ross, M.D., M.P.H., is past president of Physicians for a National Health Program and an executive committee member of the Single Payer Action Network in Ohio (www.spanohio.org)" "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P
  22. Really? I think the collective group on both sides of the belief spectrum here would agree that you are making flawed arguments and that a majority of what you have said in this thread has been hogwash. "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P
  23. This would be funny, if you were jerking our chains and joking with us. The humor fades when I realize you are face deep in the koolaid bobbing for your little socialism turd apples. "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P
  24. I don't support either of them on this issue. They are all a bunch of fucking idiots, and they are grossly negligent to let it get this far. If the republicans had their way they would slash spending to such an extent that it would cripple the weak economy we have now. If the democrats had their way they would have hollow spending cuts and accounting gimicks. Taxes would go through the roof and the problem still wouldn't be fixed. Our bond rating would be slashed and we would be fucked. You would think between the two of them they could put their heads together and come up with one functioning plan, but instead they are just a bunch of fuck ups. And don't get me started on all the House Freshmen teaparty retards that actually think a debt default would be a good move. That idea is right up there with some of DreamDancers economy posts! "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P
  25. Bravo, you can google and copy and paste. Your example doesn't support an increase in the minimum wage. Ford, the employer, decided that the value of their workers skills and the benefit of lower turn over was worth higher wages. There is no similarity to a minimum wage increase that is set by the government and not the suppliers and buyers in the market. "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P
