I got my plan when it first came out, I barely use it though. For some reason I don't cancle it because my plan goes for about 60 bucks now, and I only pay 19 or so. Some fawking logic. Dougie, you're not telling the whole story. That's just the tip of the iceberg; how many people were grounded or banned over those two seasons? Five? Six? It was unbelievable... The briefest explanation is that the DZO punished people for personal issues he had with them. Because he disapproved of something I'd done (unrelated to jumping), my coach rating was "suspended" at this dz. I did a fun jump with Dougie a month or so later, shortly after he got off student status (with the DZO's permission). Because he was a newbie, we worked on skills. The DZO called it a coach jump, said I'd "undermined his authority" and GROUNDED me for the rest of the season (it was early August). The rationale behind his other bannings and groundings were similarly ridiculous. The end result is that he drove away almost all the fun jumpers. It's basically a tandem factory now. It's too bad, 'cause it was a sweet little place... I was just contributing to the thread without airing dirty laundry or digging up dirt. That's all.

Seems pretty stupid to me? If you didn't cause a rucus at 3 am, twice, you would still be jumping there? Some simple Drop zone rules: don't steal the otter tow cart, don't wake up the DZO, don't bang his daughter, don't piss off the neighbors! DZ policy at my place as well. It makes sense, we had an AFF instructor chase a student well past his harddeck. He went in with nothing out. They require it on tandem video jumps as well, I think that is a little much but I respect the fact that their policy was based off the incidents and experinces they have had. If your put forward to the general public on your website that the drop zone is not an ideal place for kids, then yes. I am not saying that kids don't belong on the DZ, but they shouldn't be running amuck like 99% of tandem students' children that I see on the DZ, and you shouldn't expect that they are going to be exposed to a disney rated experince while they are there. You're the parent, parent your children, make and then deal with your choice of what you expose them to. I have a similar rant about inconciderate parents with screaming/ crying children in places like resturants, cofee houses, movie theaters... if you want to start a new thread. I am amused at the reaction of some parents at the DZ. Personally I like the stance that the Ranch and Orange VA take. This isn't daycare folks, if you don't want them to hear it or see it, don't bring them. "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P

I "took sides" in a partners break up. Of course I was also doing 50+ jumps a month there, the pilot was pretty pissed at the remaining dzo that I was gone, and I was granted a return a few days later. I have made one jump there since over the past year. I also was accused of calling INS and my RD about a tandem rig that was being jumped out of date. I don't think you understand what I am saying. Most individuals, most of the population, are what weight builder call hard gainers. You gain more muscle, and more mass, when you work out less not more. Three days a week of hard lifting is more than enough for most people. As you build your central nervous system up you can add more, but if you over do it you will not grow. The fact that you aren't see gains already supports this. You don't build "tone". The only thing you build is muscle mass. Tone comes from shedding your body fat. It is also almost impossible to gain muscle while at the same time loosing fat. Most body builders go on a bulk cycle where they build up muscle mass and body fat, then they cut where they lose the body fat while trying to lose as little muscle mass as possible at the same time. Good clean whole food, and lots of it. Chicken, lean beef, eggs, brown rice. I have a recipee some where for a really good weight gainer shake. It isn't as good as whole food, but it is 100X better than the stuff you buy in the store. Sleep, you need lots of sleep. Moderate exercise. 6x a week is NOT the formula to gain weight. Any of these scenarious can be handled safely by modifying your patern in flight instead of using additional control inputs. Extend legs of the pattern, shorten legs of the pattern, cut the corner, round out a corner. I suggest you get yourself a copy of Brian's book. It is a great read.
