How scared/nervous were you before your first jump...

Too funny!! I don't think anyone has ever been more freaked out then I was on my first Tandem. Couldn't BELIEVE I got myself into that situation, especially since it was OPTIONAL! I cried and begged and swore and prayed and cried some more...I was fortunate to have an incredible TI, we actually back flipped out of the plane which meant I didnt have to stare at the ground from 13k, all I had to do was look at the back of the plane. When it was my turn I honestly thought I would just die right there on the spot!! Of course, it went off without a hitch and Im happy to say there is nothing in the world I would rather do than jump jump jump!!! Welcome to the forums!! Blue skies!! Perfect...just what I needed...I DO need a better understanding of the jump...if I made sure I knew that info prior to and while during the jump, you're right, there shouldn't BE any question as to what to do or where to go. But, ha ha knowing me, I'll find one or two to ask...I truly appreciate the time you (all) give here...couldn't do it without ya... WHAT A DIZZY DANCE~SINKIN INTO SWEET UNCERTAINTY

Thank You. I believe a better understanding of the jump Im about to make is the obvious first, along with the other excellent techniques mentioned here should certainly give me some food for thought. Thanks guys!

This may just be the stupidest question ever asked, but...when you are under canopy and cant see the socks or their are no other jumpers, or you land first etc. why cant I tell wind direction from, say 3,500ft or so? Im currently doing static jumps, and its apparant to me that Im just missing something here...any advice? WHAT A DIZZY DANCE~SINKIN INTO SWEET UNCERTAINTY

Had that same experience my first jump. Talk about sensory overload!! Can't get enough. You should do the tandem. awesome way to go for first timers. Just sit back and go for the ride. welcome to the wonderful world of skydiving. glad to have ya. Blue skies!

Hi All. Just another Newbie here, but ever so addicted... As we all are i'm sure. I only have five jumps down, all Tandem so far, but i'm already working on my bankroll for my AFF. Cannot wait. Think I might eventually like to do some videography. Thanks to everyone here in these forums, I have found a wealth of info here. I admire and respect you all and can't wait to fly the skies with you!!!
