thats not suprising considering most coprate will not move to a new platform till it has been proven.There are some larger companies who are just now moving from NT. Most companies it's about the cost and in I.T. the latest and greast cost money big money. the cost of licenciening. deployment, training. The cost of having to change to a new os usualy involves having to do extensive testing to make shutre it can intergrate to existing infenastructor. usualy requares the replacment and updating all the licenced software running on the system to completed againe all therse pices have to be tested because again the systems they conect to have to have the compatability (and it usualy gets ugly) then there is dealing with scripts in house apps department level data bases ect ect ect that all usualy have to be rewriten or converted to work with the next release level of software. The big cost is the end user. Training and lost productivity at the end user level is huge when changing to new platforms. paying a traines is small compared to the need to take people out of thier jobs for X number of hours to attend training. then the increased number of help desk calls that tend to arrise. the lost productivity because of new OS or programs. it usualy takes with planing testing intergration and execution 2 years to do a majour change. how come that excuse is not aceptable for impared driving cases? regardless of level of intoxication you are held responsable for the actions of chosing to drive or not. as others have said there is a lot involved in risk managment that can make it safer. But it never makes it totaly safe. I have two young boys and a third on the way and I will continue to jump and make the choice I feel are acepitable risks. Those are the same choice I make in everything I do, Driving in poor weather there have been many time pulling off at a rest stop or getting a room when i was on the road a lot, Staying another night to be rested in stead of working a full day then trying to cram a 6 hour drive home.
