Okay, you all.. thank you so much for the insights and information. Plaything will be seeing a doctor soon (probably kicking and screaming). She did see a doctor when they started a couple of years ago but hasn't been back since. Until she gets there, I will make sure she eats right, limits her alcohol and driving, and gets plenty of sleep. (We have linked alcohol, not eating, and lack of sleep each individually as triggers.) Again, thank you all for the info. It has given us a whole new grasp and understanding of the situation. If anyone else has personal experiences with these kinds of things, please post them. They are quite informative. I had never dealt with anything like this prior to 3 months ago and I am just starting to get it.

Wow! Thanks everyone. It does seem that alcohol contributes although she did not drink yesterday and very little on Sunday. Also, they were consistently late at night and now all of a sudden, they are in the evening. The reason we have more sudden concern is that they came 24 hours apart at an unusual time and the after-effects were new to us. Also, they came on quicker (less warning) than previously. OK.. so plaything is not going to be a skydiver anytime soon and here is why. A couple of years ago, she took too much of a drug called Welbutrin which caused a seizure. She had them regularly until she stopped taking it and they pretty much went away. After the coma incident a few months ago, she has been having them pretty regularly, sometimes not breathing, rapid eye movement, definitely nobody home. I have been around for most of them and cared for her as she regained consciousness and normalcy. Lately, though, they have gotten worse (one Sunday evening and again yesterday evening) and during her recovery, she has had symptoms such as temporary blindness and last night, she couldn't talk for about 2 hours.. Everything else was normal.. we ate dinner, had sex, watched a movie. She could communicate and was sharp as ever but couldn't make herself form words. She does not want to go to a doctor because she is afraid of losing her driving priviledges. We are just looking for others that either have seizures or are living with someone that does to share information with. She does get a short warning before a seizure comes on which gives her enough time to pull her car over, get out of the hot tub or get to a safe place which is why it seems okay for her to drive right now. No swooping. This is focused at younger skydivers and I don't feel like promoting a 100/200 jump freeflyer to be swooping under the pressure of competition. Brian, that is one of the most mature things from a "freeflyer" I have heard in a while and I give you props for taking that stand. Many, many young skydivers interested in that specific discipline incorrectly believe that swooping tiny ellipticals is direcly tied to freeflying. The same goes for young jumpers trying to emulate Majik. Canopy skills in no way, shape, or form are tied with one's ability to fly on their head, feet, or belly with confidence. Competition swooping is an entirely different discipline and requires the same level of dedicated practice. Competition swooping is not the same as beer line swooping and you are correct: the pressure of competition causes young jumpers (and plenty of older ones) to do incredibly stupid stuff under canopy. Chuck Agreed.. but Jason Peters put up a swoop accuracy course on the beach last year in San Carlos that was very safe for young jumpers. It wasn't so much about speed and distance as it was about heading and accuracy. Mucho fun and very safe. Normal.. The shock is wearing off and the pain is setting in. Sometimes it'll feel better and she'll think it's getting better and then she'll hit it on something and will have a sharp and lasting reminder that that bone is broken.
