:8:1 First Cessna tandem video for the beer.. other than that, we had a tough weekend in Byron.. 3 steps forward, 2 back.. WE had.. the King Air broken on Saturday Load 1 til noon Sunday so we borrowed the Beech 99 from Lodi for 9 loads.. then we had a tandem cutaway which some pieces still aren't recovered.. we had a head-down premature deployment.. and then finally winds in the low 30s with 9 tandems left.. we called it early this afternoon.. oh well.. sometimes things just don't go as planned..we'll just forget this weekend ever happened.. chopchop gotta go... my still and vid always match.. whether in freefly or tandem / RW position. The ringsite is set just for the tandem / RW mode. Basically, I made a reversible shim for the still.. took the diffence in angles, divided it in half and made the shim. I turn it 180° to switch angles. The vid is infinitely adjustable but i have my 2 settings marked.

I have to agree with Kel.. Many people view it as dangerous.. and well.. us that don't know how much of a lifestyle it is.. Both views make a candidate less likely to be longterm and consistent.

But when you try to take it "behind closed doors" or in a PM with someone in a relationship, it is no longer funny or cute.. it's sleazy. Are you a funny flirt, Dom? or a sleazebag? actually not a problem.. it is not that angled.. but it is enough to make the difference between being able to fly the necessary position and just flailing.. another sort of unrelated thing is although I have only one position for my ringsite and it matches the angle for tandems and RW video, I have another setting for both my stills and video for freeflying.. doesn't match my ringsite but it is in the natural position for looking straight ahead. I get decent V/S using that setup without the ringsite. chopchop gotta go... Plaything needs a spanking.. Lotsa Pictures

I had some issues on my first few attempts.. then I adjusted my camera angle up another 10 degrees or so and voila! It fixed everything! BTW.. same setup.. freefly pants, camera jacket.. Vector tandem rigs.. I use a sidemount PC9 and Canon SLRs on top of an old Aviator.. works great! chopchop gotta go... Plaything needs a spanking.. Lotsa Pictures
