Welp another thread got me thinking about this, and I wonder how many people out there would do the same. One day while getting ready to board a plane in Tampa I was walking up to the Kiosk to check in for my flight. I saw that the previous preson had left their credit card in the kiosk. So for those of you who have been on scene of a skydiving incident, does the memory fade? Another thread got me thinking about an incident I witnessed, and I can still remember every detail as vividly as if it were happening in front of me. It is strange because I have been on calls where once the patient got to the hospital they didn't last long at all. I have even responded to incidents where we had to document the shit out of it because the patient was DOA and had a DNR, but for some reason the skydiving incident that I witnessed when I was just a little AFFling can still be dragged out of the reseases of my mind. Hmmm you are suggesting someone who is trained should put themselves at risk by making an off field landing and possibly becoming part of the problem. Rather than taking note of where an injured person is. Landing in a safe area contacting help, and then gathering needed personnel and equipment from the DZ to help save that persons life. you know according to the PD rep that I talked to the most important things to keep the canopy from slamming you is to keep the slider all the way up and quatered properly, then make sure your lines are stowed across the D-bag nice neatly and most importantly tightly.
