I am looking for some up close pics or specific instructions for routing the pull-up cord/packing tool cord around the closing pin on a Mirage G3 container in order to prevent "burn" on the closing pin.

Hi Henri: Welcome to the forums and welcome to the time of your life! I'm 37 and from Kansas. Don't sweat not having jumped yet, as you can gain alot of info from these forums. They are great! Trust me...your first jump will be worth the wait. I fully understand the financial windfalls you are going through. After my first jump course I was hooked, and currently work two part-time jobs in addition to my full-time job; all because I have fallen in love with this sport and can't seem to get enough.

Here in the Midwest, winter temps can be down right unbearable at times, even with blue skies as far as the eye can see. I am curious as to what thermal gear, if any, that others are using during cold weather jumps. I'm going put Under Armour cold weather gear to the test this winter, and was just curious as to its claim to fame. Stay safe and Blue Skies!

In researching the purchase of my first jumpsuit, I am considering the Slipstream II due to costs. Just curious as to feedback from those who have used them and whether or not it would make for a good all around suit.

Welcome aboard! Being a newbie myself, you'll quickly find that the people here are true friends and are willing to answer any questions you have. Just remember, there is no such thing as a stupid question!!! The weather here in Kansas is pretty similar to Arkansas, so hopefully you'll get lots of clear winter skies!! Stay safe and blue skies!

Try the Skydive Store at www.skydivestore.com. They advertise booties in their jumpsuit section and also offer to match the booties to an existing jumpsuit. I believe they do all the sewing and altering. Hope this helps and BLUE SKIES!

I have recently completed the IAD portion of my training and will be working on PPCT's as part of the ISP. The SIM vaguely explains the PPCT, so my question is, while performing the PPCT, are they performed in the same manner as the IAD (hang and release from wing strut)? The SIM states that the last PPCT and Hop-n-Pop must be completed in the same day, so is the Hop-n-Pop performed belly first, or in the same manner as the IAD or PPCT. Sorry if this is a silly question, but trying to comprehend the SIM can be confusing at times. Thanks much and BLUE SKIES to all! gstukey Kansas

Well you and I are in the same awesome predicamant. I sustained a non-skydiving related foot injury a few weeks ago and I'm off work from my job as a Paramedic/Firefighter for six weeks, so now I have lots of time to sit in front of the puter too! Stay safe and blue skies! gstukey

HI ALL: Just curious as to what type/brand of gear would be recommended for a 5'9", 155 lb newbie? Thanks much and God Bless! gstukey

Welcome to SKYDIVING! I'm a newbie myself having just completed my first IAD this past week, and oh what a tremendous experience. The only tip I have is make safety a top priority, and listen intently to your instructors. I wish you blue skies and a safe return! God Bless.

With just beginning in this sport, I researched various facilites in search of what opportunities I was looking for in a DZ. ACDZ treats everyone like family, and being a student, I wasn't quite sure if I would fit in or not. I quickly discovered that regardless of your experience level, the staff and members treat you as one of their own--ever willing to answer questions, offer advice, or share their own experiences. The staff at ACDZ make each person a safety priority, and I can honestly say that while under their instruction, I feel as safe as being in my mama's arms. I truly feel welcome at ACDZ and look forward to building upon the friendships I have made thus far and in sharing my experiences with others.

My kids think it is awesome and really have a blast watching the approaches and landings. My wife on the other hand is afraid of heights, and thinks I'm crazy......but she's been really supportive
