  9. The USPA Board will meet February 17-19, 2006, in Phoenix, Arizona. The USPA General Membership Meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, February 17. All USPA members in good standing are encouraged to attend the General Membership Meeting, which USPA is required to hold each year. And...I've got some surprises for those of you that attend! Wanna know? Well do ya?
  10. 15 minutes of fame. Interestingly enough people can go from hero to zero in less than 60 seconds. I hope that the "real" story will be out there soon. When it happens I have to wonder how that will impact skydiving as a whole. Ummmm skydivers...crazy for jumping out of perfectly good airplanes...and dishonest too? Great.
  11. Low 30s and it is a bone chilling kind of cold...even for Brits
  12. Wouldn't that be nice? I mean why can't they call you a fat ass to your face rather than behind your back and then pretend to be happy to see you?(meaning me) Goes to merit I guess!
  13. With the retirement of Neal Houston and Dennis Rook from the Airspeed lineup after the World Cup, Airspeed added two new members to the team this week. A warm welcome to Eric Gin and Thomas Hughes.
  14. Well then do you intend to contact GMA and set the story straight?
  15. We actually have two trees in the main hangar. One is the live tree that we plant every year and the lights were being strung yesterday. The other is what is known as an "Angel Tree" from the Salvation Army. Ya'll may know them as the giving tree. I am really pleased that most of the tags have been taken. My office is brimming with gifts from jumpers for the less fortunate children of Eloy.
  16. Welcome back! Make sure to drop by and see AZ she'll be very happy!
  17. add mayo and its perfect. Was a childhood favorite and if I could eat peanut butter I'd eat them again.
  18. The law in Arizona is pretty clear and even if it weren't it still is a privetly owned business. Sometimes one person's fun is another's death warrant. Zen...you know I love ya
  19. Indeed. However most DZ bars are privately owned. They too must follow the law or lose their license. After that they can decide what is or is not acceptable in their establishment. Got Tumbleweed? X's and O's
  20. Or it just might be illegal in that state and in violation of state liquor laws.
  21. I do not know the circumstances of said video. What I can tell you is this...if someone is contracted to make a video (compensated in slots or otherwise) they (contracting company) have every right to determine what goes in the video. Skydive Arizona for example is trademarked. Which means permission must be sought for use in association with goods produced for commerical use. As to competition footage, for the most part it belongs to the sactioning body such as the USPA for example for training of judges and scoring. It is currently a subject of debate in that if the team agreement does not specifically give film rights to the governing body, then it belongs to the videographer to do as he or she pleases. In short, they may be required to provide footage of competition jumps for judging and scoring, but may deny the use for competition videos produced for the public.
