Try an aircraft taking off on the runway where we were landing Oh can you say go around?! Then machanical issues that left the connecting flight on the tarmac for an hour! The good news is I made it home and my puppies don't hate me! LOL Then again who wouldn't want McGowan as a babysitter? (Mouth he smells wonderful) It was great seeing you too! I don't care much for honey...and am allergic to bees! Epi anyone?
-
As some of you may know my tongs are an invaluable tool. I mean really all a woman needs is a good set of tongs, a can of Raid, WD-40 and duct tape to be set in defending the home or fixin' it. A few weeks back there was the snake and then the scorpion. Both nasty creatures to my mind, but not nearly as pesky as the damn mud wasps! About a week ago, I discovered a small mud nest on a photograph hanging on the wall in the hallway. I must say this bee has a heck of a lot of nerve trying to make a home on a McGowan! As there were no bees around, I quickly disposed of the nest and carried on with my day. Well humph! Yesterday I actually took the day off (yes it does happen) to get ready for a trip. The day included installing a doggy door for the kids and general domestic Goddess type duties. As I am working around the house I notice that there is a bee in the house, and being of a generous nature yesterday I thought to spare its life and swoosh it outside. Not 10 minutes later another bee! This continued four times...bee comes in...bee goes out. I figured there has to be a nest somewhere and these little suckers can get in any little nook or cranny. So as it were, I thought to myself..."self lets sit and watch where the bee goes the next time it invades my territory." Hummmmm... 10 minutes or so goes by and whoop there it is! So I watch for a moment and the damn thing was building a nest in the kitchen on a power cord hanging from my chili bunch lights!! GRRRRR So...I did what any woman living alone would do...I retrieved my weapons and annihilated the little sucker! Umhummm tongs and Raid...new and improved Homeland Security.

Hello all! Check this link for a story about Packages from Home that was video taped here in Phoenix, it is being aired to the entire military. Once you get to the home page for the Pentagon Channel look for the story called "From the Heart". The PFH story is about in the middle of the 30 minute show. http://www.pentagonchannel.mil/ A big THANK YOU to all for your support over the past two years for our troops, because of you Packages from Home has provided over 26,000 care packages to our deployed men and women. This is a long video, so watch it when you have time. To those that serve...I know I have said it before...but thank you.

Fitted Sheets--Does anyone *really* fold them after washing?
bbarnhouse replied to waltappel's topic in The Bonfire
Why yes...yes I do! They have to be folded in such a way that they match the flat sheets in size. Then everything is neatly stored. The towels are folded and stacked in the same manner so that they are also the same size. Then they are neatly organized with the matching pillow cases in order of color and that explains the word "sets" -
And that about says it all

-
Dear Sunshine, I am in a bit of a fix. I have a stalker AND paparazzi! What ever shall I do?
-
Dear Sunshine, I am finding it increasingly annoying when people do not respond to email, phone calls in a timely manner. In fact, I find it out right rude! What suggestions do you have to helpwith my frustration?
-
Well I wasn't arguing the point Narci...and since only about 1% of the skydiving community in is the competition arena, CF would not be a common term just as FS would not. So atribute it to education.
-
No I did not. Umm I think I would have to disagree with you since the FAI uses these terms....I do believe those offices are located outside the USFédération Aéronautique Internationale, Avenue Mon-Repos 24, CH-1005 Lausanne
-
Well...in layman's tems its Crew and RW. In the competitive arena its CF (Canopy Formation) & FS (Formation Skydiving)
