4:17:0 1st time my camera flyer forgot to turn the camera back on after filming someone else's exit. I had to laugh and then made him suffer through the next jump as I held "God of the Sun" and orbited him 3- jumpers drug by their canopies because they insisted on jumping in winds (maybe next time they will listen to the locals)....they got a nice refresher course in RSL's and cutting away a main, but none were worse for wear. 17 jumps working on new routines.......man I love this life

Arizona Skysuf took Bronze at the World Cup meet held in Vienna Austria this past week. With competition having been delayed for nearly a week due to weather, at the completion of semis, it was agreed that finals would consist of 1 jump. A heartfelt thanks to all that helped support this team with the purchase of the BTFU tees, and private donations. You are just the best!!

Moody~ Canopy is A ok. I hung it up and walked up through the cells in the light to make sure there weren't any holes. yeah jerks is puttin' it mildly!

Now my turn for a bit of a rant!!! There I was coming in for a lovely landing and picked up some of the funky stuff that we get here from time to time in the way of winds here in Eloy. As it was busy day Vic (camera flyer) and I decided to land in the alternate landing area where there weren't as many ummm obsticales....yeah that's it Presently the alternate area is base for 30 some paratroopers from Germany, but no worries they are always off the field before we get there....generally standing around watching the folks on smaller canopies land. Ahem.......well wouldn't ya know....funky stuff.....Vic comes in and has to "dig" himself out. I came in pretty close behind him, set my feet on the ground and .........whooooosh!! my canopy lifts up...I pull in a toggle and walk toward it........and the damn thing gets stuck in one of the Mesquite trees (they have thorns). So there I am stuck to this tree.... Vic has his own issues.....and the damn Germans just stood there and watched!!! Didn't lift a single finger to help Well humph! Next time they need help maybe I will just stand there with my hands on my hips too!!! *(*&^&)_)(_()&* Not like we all haven't helped someone out......and just the other day why....I helped them out!! Cultural difference? I don't think so! Bad Form? Absolutely!! Not a gentleman or a good samaritan in the bunch.

A jumper with less than 100 upon landing hit the ground hard with her head....the wind conditions today were gusting to 25 and changing directions frequently. (I stood down after the wind picked up my canopy and planted it in a tree the tree has thorns). Upon final it was evident that the gal was in trouble, flaring a bit high, catching a gust and released a toggle back up from 3/4 flare. The canopy dove to one side and she hit hard. She is bruised and sore, but nothing broken. A general rule of thumb for everyone.......if someone with more experience than you suggests that maybe you stand down.....or maybe just said to you that they are done for the day because of the weather conditions,.....it might be a good indication for you be done as well. There is always another day to jump. I'm really glad that things turned out ok for this jumper. Cheers
