I was just gearing up for jump #6 of the day and I happened to see a familar face. We had never met before, that happens a lot when DZ.s come to visit. But somehow it doesn't seem to matter. I greeted the stranger with a warm hug and: "welcome, we're on a 6 minute call...get on it!" I knew that wasn't enough time for the new comer to get waivered and geared, so I slipped over to the manifest window and asked for 5 additional minutes. Manifest Marianne was happy to oblige, and shortly after we were on our way. At the end of the day, I went off to take a shower, but not before having told "Hey Handsome" to meet me in the Bent Prop. Once there we visited for several hours, I drinking my usual iced tea, he drinking a hearty draft. It was a good visit and I was pleased to have spent time with this new friend. It was a a really great day....even though there weren't any sheep

Regarding night jumps: The first night jump is Dec 31. Lift off is 11:40p.m. You must attend the briefing which will be held at sunset..(*note this night jump has very low visibility) The second night jump is Jan. 3. Wheels up at 6:40. You must attend the briefing that will take place one hour before take off. Wingsuits: You may manifest for night jumps provided that you have been checked out through the Arizona Training Center BirdMan Flight School; and you must have 2 prior night jumps in a wingsuit. Multiple wingsuits on a load will be given flight pattern instructions at the briefing. These are the only night jumps that will occur during the boogie. We will however manifest for several loads on the 3rd as interest dictates. Cheers Everyone! BB

LOL yeah...and guess who he goes looking for when he gets riled! Please refrain from burning the picnic tablesand chairs;having sword fights on the landing area with burning pieces of umber;stealing the golf carts and then leaving them submerged in the ponds;and NO carnal knowledge in the aircraft...the swimming pool is ok tho. I am sure that I can come up with more later....as a side note...no spewing on anything that belongs to me -

To dispell mis-information: A) It is frikken cold here at night during December even for those that aren't native. -
It is true that we don't have a lot of humidity here. However, during monsoon seasonwe do have some. This year we had days with 27%. Add that to 125 degrees.

Last year it was difficult to determine exactly how many DZ. jumps were made when I wrote the final story for the PUB. HH and I discussed and agreed that we should have statistics for this boogie. With that in mind I have arranged for a different colored ticket. I don't think its all that interesting. But hey, you asked, and there is your answer. BB -
