Really people. Who gives a shit about Pope gregory and his calendar? Answer : Most of the world. Actually that day would be the 11th day during the season of confusion which is the third season of the discordian calendar. THE ONE TRUE CALENDAR Day of the week = Boomtime. Year : 3172. I'm sure that the majority of BASE jumpers are either in their twenties or thirties but are there any old timers out there throwing themselves off of things? You hear about 80 year olds skydiving for their birthdays and whatnot... Anybody know how old the oldest BASE jumper is to date?

I just came back from a trip to Colombia and I don't BASE jump at the moment and am not 100% sure what to look for when considering a site but my girlfriend and I went to a place that if jumpable would be an amazing spot. (Massive rock in the middle of a huge valley strewn with probably hundreds of lakes most connecting. This rock comes out of nowhere.) Anybody know if this is jumpable? edt for site name ~TA

indeed. you realize I was asking for advice. not permission. Are you saying it's a bad idea to train with a BASE canopy from a plane all summer and jump in the fall with over 200 jumps? I have been platform diving all winter as well and will continute to do so indefinately. Apparently that's worth something according to some BASE jumpers. Aren't you mentoring a girl with less than 200 jumps?

For the record I am just planning on jumping all summer to get in experience for bridge day in the fall. I am not planning to jump anything fixed until then and by that time I hope to have 200+ jumps.

While jumping a BASE canopy at the dropzone before actually taking it to a fixed object would you recommend jumping the canopy in a skydiving container or in a BASE specific container?

Are there many well known spots anywhere in the east that are popular with base jumpers here? Say Nepal, india, pakistan or china? Basically anywhere in the Himalayas. I would think that this area has amazing potential but I haven't heard much about it.
