In search of the perfect mushroom. And no its not the first one that comes to mind. I use it in order to control my pilot chute for perfect insertion into the BOC while maintaining the perfect mushroom to grab onto later while I am in freefall. The clamp simply helps the process along. Can I do it with out the clamp? Sure thing spanky! But do I prefer it with the clamp! Heidi Ho Lone Ranger! So we all do what we like. Some people count 20 clamps when they are done and some people use tree branches when they trash pack. All in all choose to be smart. Lastly, I do agree with Garner. The Triax T-Stake will make your life a whole lot easier when your in the bush and need some weight behind your pack job. Kenyon www.triaxproductions.com

How do/did we let it happen! Not sure of the answer, but we have some serious teaching to do of the people around us, above us, below us and soon to be one of us. I used to pack my pilot chute with one and swearing to everyone that it would not happen to me. 150 jumps of luck I suppose. Since then its been nothing but clamps on my pilot chute. Its pretty hard to sqeeze a clamp into your BOC. Regardless of your technique its time for all of us to keep each one of us around. Good Skill out there. Stay safe. I look forward to seeing you all real soon at an exit point near you. I personally choose to have people live by choosing other devices to pack with and sharing that knowledge. What do you choose to do? Kenyon www.triaxproductions.com

13. Colorado Springs is the closest, but make sure its direct. A lot of times they fly you into Denver and then you have to wait for another plane to go to Colorado Springs. Of course make sure you have a ride from Denver also. Salt Lake is much to far away. I will see you there. Kenyon Salo www.triaxproductions.com
14. Yeah, but can a Kmart camping stake open a beer and tighten your quicklinks? Besides we all know it does amazing things like help you loose weight, pick up chics, help your aerials and other crazy things. Word has it that there is video footage of Magot saying that if he had bought a T-Stake he would not have been stuck on a wall in the West. $100 to anyone who can sneek a T-Stake onto a commercial airliner and take a picture at the boarding gate and in your assigned seat. This must be a major airline and a major airport. Good luck. PS: In an answer to packing indoors with the T-Stake we will be selling a sandbox that you can erect indoors and place your T-Stake into the sand. Good Luck and Thanks for the Support Kenyon www.triaxproductions.com

18. Triax is working on new "Disolvable Clamps". You never have to worry about leaving a clamp in your gear. You put them on, pack, and then pack them up into your pack job. They dissolve within minutes for perfect on heading openings. Look for a Disolvable Clamp Vending machine at an exit near you. No more lost gear, no more overweight check ins at the airport. No more clamps after the pack job. Email us for more details. Kenyon www.triaxproductions.com

22. The most important things in doing any aerial is confidence, visualation, head placement, altitude, pack tray attitude and good judgement. Confidence: With anything you do in life its either all or nothing. If you were to half try a backflip on the ground then you would be in the hospital. You have to fully commit to the event or not at all. So when you are on the edge ready to commit have the confidence that you can do it and then see the event through to the end. Visualization: I cannot emphasize this more. Studies have proven that the visualization will actually fire your muscles and ingram them in your mind for future use. If you cannot visualize the pull time then your not ready. Go over it again and again and again until you are actually doing the aerial with no effort of thought. Visualize the aerial from all angles not just from POV. Do it slow and then real time. Head Placement: Stand on the ground and have your buddy grab your head. Now have him move it in different directions. Forward, Back, Side to Side and then diagonal. Feel how your body reacts and which way your arms and legs want to go. Remember that whatever way you have your head is the same way that your body will go. If you turn your head on a gainer then you will rotate with some diagonal which in turn will slow the actual gainer. Altitude: Granted, I should never have done a gainer on my 9th BASE jump, from a cliff no less. But I had done the above visualization for many hours. My mistake was that altitude could have been my undoing. Since then I have used higher jumps to perfect other off axis moves and then taken them to lower altitude jumps. When you do these aerials use a POV camera to record exact time frames and seconds until pull time. I could never get the Sushi Roll under 4 seconds and therefore it will never materialize in Moab as that is bad judgement. (see last entry) Pack Tray Attitude: We all know the exact pack tray attitude is parallel to the sky and ground. We have about 80 degrees of play in either direction towards the head or feet. We have all seen close calls in carnage sections. Sooner or later someone will go in with a bridal around their foot or arm. More likely the foot as that is more difficult to remove. Remember this section when it comes to pull time. Sometimes you have to pitch when you think its early and by the time you have reached full arm extension your pack try is just passing through horizontal. Similiar to what Rauk said which is very true. Judgement (Good and Bad): This part could go on forever. I remember talking to a good friend of mine and we were comparing the number of times that when we look back it was bad judgement. Fortunatly, that is less than my fingers on one hand. The good judgement times are when you opt out of the aerial, the jump or for some people the sport all together. We all know people who use or have used bad judgement and this may have resulted in someone on Nic's List. We also know many who have superior judgement when it comes to the sport. I like to surround myself with those people because it keeps my ass in check and I know that we should all be living to jump another day. Last Pointers: Know when to break a stalled rotation and save your ass. Do not do aerials with Kodak Courage This is not a pissing match your buddies will still like you if you opt out of any jump. Continue to ask questions and as Marta once told me. "Do all the aerials you want, just make sure that you have not used all your mental capacity on the aerial. If you are mentally drained by the time the aerial is done then what is left when you are faced with line twists and a 180? Your brain is done and so are you!" Good Luck out there! yo! Bridge Day DVDs

Of course I have been thinking about this all day and Pope and I have been on the phone discussing solutions for future productions. Because we have yet to make money on this deal and some are right in saying that we do this for the love of the sport not the current financial gain. Possible solution we discussed is to have people pre order the BD DVD. Then if you have pre- ordered it then you get in the "special paid for people section" DVD just like the first timers had a section. That way we are not editing for those not paying. Money well spent is how I see it. What do you think of that idea? The Ash Jump footage is still in our library and will be used at a later date just like all the footage we have of the El Cap Boys! We apologise that it did not make this BD DVD, but the footage is not lost and soon to be used. Kenyon www.triaxproductions.com
