  1. It's me! I'm all black and white..
  2. Make that 4 for Thomas! I can't believe that it's the most popular middle name on here. So far anyways..
  3. Paypal sent for my 3 patches! Thanks again for doing this.
  4. Yeah, that makes sense. It was only scary to me when I saw a collapsed canopy falling down to the ground. It wasn't until I saw the reserve canopy delpoy that I realized I was watching the cutaway canopy fall, not the pair itself. Like I said, it was a good experience.
  5. I went down to the local DZ today. I was bored and I'm going for my AFF in about a month so I figured I'd go down and watch some tandems. I could hear the plane in the sky so I looked up and a couple seconds later I see one of the tandem pairs deploy. A couple seconds later, I see the other tandem pair deploy. Both canopies looked fine, and then all of a sudden, I see one of the canopies collapse and start falling. I'm thinking "Oh shit, what is going on". A few seconds later, I see another canopy open up, and release a sigh of relief. The pair that had the cutaway landed basically on the runway, and it looked like a hard landing. 15 minutes later I see a guy and a girl walking into the spectator area of the dropzone. I asked "Did one of you two have the cutaway?". The guy turns to his girl with a stupid look on his face and says "Yup, she did!". I was really surprised at the fact that she was hardly fazed by it, and actually wanted to make another jump the same day! I gave her some serious props for that. If I had a cutaway on my first tandem jump, I don't know if I'd ever want to jump again. I hate to say it, but I'm glad I got to see a cutaway happen. It let me know that these things do happen, and reminded me to make sure that I go over my emergency procedures a lot so I know how to react in this kind of situation. I never did find out what kind of malfunction it was...
  6. I sent you a message on MySpace but I wanted to say it again.. Congrats!!!
  7. Well, I finally figured a date out and signed up to get my AFF done! July 13th through the 16th at Jumptown in Orange, MA. They have a new program called AFF Camp that's a one on one deal that takes you from your FJC and AFF-1 all the way through AFF-7 and (hopefully) to solo status. Great thing about the program is that it takes place in one weekend, Thursday through Sunday. Great for me because I recently started a new job 3 months ago and trying to get a week off to do my AFF isn't all that possible. Two days off, very possible. Hope to see some of you guys down there. I'm really looking forward to it!
  8. Happened to me before. I arrived at the bar after a couple of friends. I told the bartender (a young girl.. 18-22 at most) to put my drinks on their tab and we can just split it up. I had 4 Coronas and a shot of Jager. Bill comes, my drinks aren't on there. I wait a while, no receipt for me. She was so busy that night with other people that I wasn't going to try and get her attention. Oh well.. I guess I could've tried harder to pay, but I was a little inebriated and took it as a lucky night.
  9. It really isn't worth trying to explain, because if you haven't made a jump than you just don't know the feeling. When I made my first tandem last year, I was telling everyone about it. I thought that they would share some of the enthusiasm that I did, but either they thought I was crazy, or would just say "I would never." There's so much more to it than seeking thrills, but it sure helps to fullfill the need for a thrill!
  10. I don't know if it's anticipation, if it's because I'm a newbie, or if it's a foreshadow of my future, but I think about skydiving a WHOLE lot. If my day is going shitty at work, I'll look up at the sky and think of being up there. On my days off from work, I'm wishing that I could be jumping. When i get home from work, I come on here and SkydivingMovies.com and spend my nights watching and reading skydiving. So what's the deal here? Am I the only one that's thinking about jumping all the time? Shit, I've only made 2 jumps. But I can't seem to get it off my mind!
  11. Couldn't have said it better. He was certainly an asshole. Every time I see a motorcycle rider pulling wheelies on the highway, swerving in and out of traffic, especially with no helmet, they are immediately an asshole in my book.
  12. This week was a shitty week for me, too. Work just sucked ass this whole week, and I haven;t seen any blue skies in over a week. It's really putting me in a bad mood. So.. I've already had a few beers, and I'm planning on a few more. Going to pop open my next one right after I hit Post Reply! Bottoms Up
  13. I think it's hilarious. This has been out for a while. When I heard the Juggernaut say it in X3, I thought it was priceless. 'Are you a fuckin' ass?'
  14. That is awesome.. such an amazing scene. I didn't fully read your post at first and thought "Wow, what DZ is that?!?" hoping for somewhere in the US Congrats man.
  15. Extreme? This is extreme. http://www.jonco48.com/blog/waist2_small2.jpg
  16. I swallowed a labret ring before. If you don't know what it is, imagine a small nail but with a flat end instead of being pointy. Didn't feel it when it made it's triumphant exit, so I'm sure you'll be just fine. Oh and when I was a kid I swallowed a penny as well as a small watch battery. Yup.. a battery. Never did tell my mom about that one
  17. The Princess Cruise special.. this was like the only beer they had on the whole damn cruise. Not bad, but I still prefer Corona for mexican beer. That's just me, though.
  18. It's not the typical sob story that you always hear. It's a continuation on a tattoo that I already have on my wrist to make it into a half-sleeve. I don't want to release too many details because I'm not sure if I'll make it on the show. But it has to do with magic, because I'm a magician. If you click on my MySpace you can see a picture of it in "My Pics". Autograph.. lol That's very flattering but let's wait and see if I even get on the show
  19. Oh and.. I filled out an online application for the TLC show Miami Ink (a show about tattoos for those not in the know.) I come home from work the other day and to my surprise.. .. I had a phone call from the casting director of the show who said he was really interested in me! Now I have to make a 5 minute video describing myself and the tattoo I want, why I want it etc. I have a 1 in 6 shot of being on the show.
  20. I got my monthly royalty check yesterday, and it was the highest check I've had in my 3 years with the company! Now I can sign up for AFF and (hopefully) I'll have my A License within a couple months! Possibly even a trip to Rantoul..
  21. I work for a Wine & Spirits distributor, and I scored 4 free bottles of wine yesterday. Two Pinot Grigio (white wines), one Syrah (a peppery, IMO NASTY wine) and a White Zinfandel (between white and red, it's pink in color). I actually hate wine, but working for this company I drink it a lot and am starting to slightly warm up to it. Plus, who's gonna pass up free booze. Anyways, my roommate and I drank two of the bottles last night. We were feeling pretty gooooooood..

Foot fetish.. it's a strange concept. I mean, I don't dislike feet, I wear sandals.. but are people actually like, sexually turned on by them? It's a little odd.
  23. I'd definitely want a few.
  24. Bob, I admire your strength and courage through this tough time. You did an amazing job with the interview and in describing to the world the true essence of Shannon and her life. A very heart warming piece... Thanks for sharing it with us.
