  2. First off, this is kind of cross-posted in the intro forum....http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=1755672#1755672 Mods, if this is unacceptable in the training forum, feel free to delete. I appologize. I would just like to find some local jumpers to meet up with and maybe learn a thing or two before attending AFF training. I'll buy the beer! -will "I dont have any good skills." -ND
  3. Thank you skymama! I kinda figured . I'm really excited about getting into this sport. Not only for the excitement/fun, but for the people. I love meeting new people. I would eventually like to become an accomplished diver (obviously) and get very involved with a local DZ. Possibly become a volunteer videographer or something. But first things first; jump out of plane. Ha ha. then get my A license. I'm patient. -will "I dont have any good skills." -ND
  4. Hello, my name is Will. I live near Texarkana, Texas. I am hoping to start AFF training in the near future. So I have been lurking for a while. First of all, I would like to congratulate you ALL (mods and members) on having a very friendly and apparently close-knit community(on & offline). This in itself is incredible! But the amount of educational material here is staggering. Now I read the disclaimer on how to take this info and to do most my learning from the JM's. But at least I can be familiar with terminoligy, basics, theory and what-not. Secondly, I was wondering how many (if any) on this board regularly or exclusively jump in Gladewater. Or better yet, live in or around Texarkana. It appears the Gladewater DZ is where I will attend training. Can't wait to hear from you! PM's and emails welcome as well. Well, thats about itfor my intro. Thank you all for an excellent information source. I will continue to search the boards! -will -will "I dont have any good skills." -ND
