Skyper, Get the videos watch and learn..But before you go to practice, talk to an instructor about it. Don't think that watching the videos will tell you everything :D Same as getting your answers to everything on a forum. Often not the best way to learn things.

How soon is too soon to start freeflying?
ruudwas replied to Rstanley0312's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Well my .02 make sure you have the right gear to do FF with. And I mean all gear necessary. Get briefed by an instructor who knows what he is talking about. Don't go do it without the briefing. He can also do a gear check ;). Some earlier post have already shown that it could end up to be a painful experience. If the person who is asking for the briefing is not qualified yet, well that's the moment he will be stopped before doing anything stupid ;) So, it could be someone with as little as 30 jumps ;) -

good luck and have fun ;) -
maybe Lou should start his own thread...his post cries for response... Mine would be get a bigger Sabre2 that does not scare you...

stays the same...they better get in a lot of jumps in light wind days... Smaller canopies will create larger errors....

I'm not the right person to comment your landings. But I'm interested what the pros comment on your video. I'll probably learn something from it

I've started jumping the Lotus a couple of weeks ago...and I'm very happy with it's performance. Had a long spot and my friend flew a Safire 2...and I just flew right by him...going down at the same speed, but forward speed was much higher. To add to that...my friend was in rear risers and a was on half breaks ;) Even with a straight in approach you will get a great flare (thus landing) from this canopy. Because of it's high forward speed and the airlocks it has much less to coop with turbulence. All together, If you want a main that brings you back from long spots and great staged landings without to much hazard and you want to have a little less aggressive canopy you should get an Lotus Max.

are you considering this ;)

Jumps License In sport : 63 : : 6 years Dec 11, 2007, 9:10 AM Post #9 of 10 (173 views) Registered: Nov 7, 2005 Posts: 72 ================ I think you should change your numbers. If you really have 63 jumps in six years....and want to go for front risers, I don't think you'll get the answers your are looking for If you do have this limited amount of jumps...don't think about doing it at all cheers
