Godamnit Nick! I was just signing on for a frigggin second to the DZ BASE zone. You picked at an old wound that I haddent thought about in awhile. You sent a chill down my back. I was doing my first Yosemite solo and I got to the top late about 2AM and her and Dave were at the top, we had a wonderful evening togeather giggling all night then we launched at first light, it was her first cliff jump. God what fun. She always had on those white shorts, yes we all had a crush on her. She was a breath of fresh air. Keith

Hey Neil, This is getting like old home week on the DZ board, all my old good friends. Yes, your memory is very good, this is my 3rd foot injury from BASE jumping and they do get worse as you go. Sucks getting old.

I seem to have broken my heel on a recent jump. Does someone out there have a iwalkfree hands free crutch that I may buy or borrow for a couple of months? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. KJones178@aol.com

I was there today. I watched the jump. He had a 120 left with a small Raven 218 I think, with a mesh slider up, 500' cliff. He was turning it right when he hit the face, his leg got caught in his lines due to shin guard hooks catching a microline. He spun in with no furthur wall strikes. Subsequent rescue from the talice. He had a badly broken left foot probably from the wall strike and possible internal injuries from the landing in the talice. He's in surgery now. He should recover fully. Let's hope.
