MC Escher is probably the one that stands out most in my mind. I'm also a big Ansel Adams fan, even though he's not a "painter" per se, his photography is absolutely breathtaking. Plus I'm a big fan of black & white. I really like Markus Pierson's sculpture and painting. The coyotes are both whimsical and thought-provoking. Age isn't really a factor with me. If I met my "soul-mate" and she was x-number of years older or younger than me it really wouldn't be an issue. You can't put a number on those sorts of things. Own a Taurus 9mm, Ruger .243 and a Remington 1100 12 gauge. I'm debating keeping the rifle & shotgun cuz I never use 'em. Also thinking of getting rig of the Taurus and getting a Glock 21 or 23, haven't quite decided yet, but I guess .45 rounds are way more expensive than .40s so I'll prolly go with the 23. Hell, at Spaceland I didn't know Hoop & Rabbitt's real names for ages. If your DZO has a hangup with nicknames I think you need to find an new DZ, cuz that's lame. I agree with Bill. Given my limited knowledge, and other more experienced BASE jumpers, please correct me if I'm wrong, but the short answer is "not necessarily". And actually, it's probably more prone to squirrelly openings than slider up because sliders help stage the opening. It's also more prone to lineovers. The use of a tailgate helps to address these issues. I went slider off with about a 3-3.5 second delay. Had a nice, crisp on-heading opening. But I was also using a tailgate. Yep. Drive 16 hours Thursday (sleep maybe an hour), arrive Friday morning, attend conferences, meet people, party, sleep maybe 4 hours, jump bridge, party again until 12:30, drive 16 hours back (sleep maybe 2 hours).
