One of the things I like to do on solos are spinning tracks. I go into a standard track and then push one leg down & bring the other leg up. Then you corkscrew head down. Pretty cool. I'll have to ask someone what it looks like from the ground sometime! ------------ Blue Skies! Zennie

The key, and it seems to work for me. Is in the slider. I can't roll the nose right to save my life (though I still try), but I pay really close attention to two things: 1. Make sure the slider is all the way at the stops; and 2. After you quarter the slide, pull it a little toward the nose (i.e. toward you). Don't pull it all the way through though. This helps the slider catch the wind better on opening. I've had some real nice, amazingly soft openings when I do this. No whack at all. ------------ Blue Skies! Zennie

Can you believe it? OK. I'll give it a rest. Seriously though. I found this poking around. It's a magazine called Tequila Fancy. A magazine for tequila lovers. Gotta love it! They have a reviews section that's pretty cool. I'm gonna have to try some of these. Wouldn't it be cool to host a tequila tasting party instead of some snooty wine-tasting party? LEMONS! Oh. Sorry. Yeah, if you can't get a lime a lemon's OK in a pinch. Cuervo's decent, but the really good stuff is stuff like El Tesoro and Herradura. I esp. like it chilled. OK. This is totally the wrong reasoning for why we have Cypres' (BTW, what's the proper plural of Cypres?). I see the Cypres as something akin to an airbag. I don't drive around like an idiot banking on the fact that my airbag is going to save me. It's just a last line of defense in case disaster strikes. Airbags (and safety belts) won't replace common sense & heads up driving, but weird things happen. If it increases my odds of surviving a disaster, I (as well as my friends and family) want it there. It's amazing how many times I'm asked by whuffos "What if you can't open your parachute? Like if you pass out or something." (Yes, I've been asked this) I respond that I have a device which will open my reserve for me. They seem impressed that we seem to have (most of) our bases covered. ------------ Blue Skies! Zennie

I don't know about the spinning on the back part, but I know it's saved at least one (and actually I think more than that) person who was hit by another diver and knocked unconscious. Check the Cypres saves pages. If I'm knocked out, I'd sure like for it to at least try to get something out for me. Better than nothing at all. Even if it only gives me a 25% chance of surviving, that's better than 0%. ------------ Blue Skies! Zennie

My gawd! How can y'all be fussing around about such trivial things as the environment, guns, and gas prices when something much more sinister is at hand? What am I talking about? LEMONS! Specifically, lemons with tequila shots! Great horny toads! At least two people have now admitted to sucking down tequila shots with .... god, I can hardly utter it.... LEMONS! Oh, what's a poor Texan to do (OK, so I'm a transplant, but why let that get in the way of a good rant)? Y'all. We gotta talk. Tequila with anything other than salt and limes... well... it just ain't right. And the proper sequence is salt lickage, shot slammage, lime suckage. Anything else is downright dangerous. One of the funniest things I ever heard was a friend of mine who was in this horrible snowstorm. Their 4x4 got stuck in the snow & couldn't get out. The streets hadn't been plowed and were pretty much unpassable. Then the hear this bzzzzzzz. Yeah, but how many Europeans take the cops on high-speed chases in souped-up Mustangs and Camaros? I don't have a big problem with the big police cruisers. If anything, I'd add front mounted TOW missles to them so they can just take out any idiot that tries to run and endanger the rest of the driving public. And yes, for those of you that have noticed by the tone of my recent posts, I've been in a rather foul mood lately.
