    Saw a thread about a ZP Manta and thought id ask the question. What canopy would you put a student on? I've flown an old F1-11 Manta and at the time had nothing to compare it to so didnt think too much about it. Anyway i hit another DZ for some fun and tried what they have their students on, it was a Navigator. I was really impressed, suddenly i realised what a flare was.     Skydiving! Seriously though, any sport can be as dangerous as you make it. We make choices about safety (no i wont mention RSL's!) and we live by our actions. The recent death of one guy points this out, he was expecting a kid so he practically gave up BASE jumping. Died ice climbing. 1338 People aint made of nothin' but water and shit.     As the one where you done something that was out of the ordinary simply for the hell/rush of it. When you realised to yourself that sometimes walking on the edge is fun. For me it was when i was 14 and a charity bungee came into town, fuck charity i wanted to jump! I pushed down on the table to get my weight up to jumpable and my certificate is made out to "Andrew Tasker" after getting some false parents to let me jump. Not being content with just jumping i asked the dude if i could backflip off the crane instead of fall. Oh and to all you DZ.commers: Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Time to do the family routine
