  1. That is not what you said when you mentioned the interpretation. If you are allowed to carry what the average footsoldier carries, then conversely you should not be allowed to carry anything else. Furthermore, I would think that the rational man would keep in mind that the framers of the Bill of Rights could not possibly foresee the immense firepower which could once be packed into a single weapon. Hence, to me it would make even more sense that guns are restricted.
  2. Since the circumstances that led to the inclusion of that passage are no longer in place, that passage should no longer be in place.
  3. Well, that is the end of the discussion for me. I tried to have a level headed, no name calling discussion with you. Obviously you are not capable of doing so.
  4. True and hence it is quite allowable for judges to change the perceived interpretation of the Bill of Rights, since circumstances change. The circumstances that let the framers to include that passage as no longer, hence the passage should be no longer too. Does that make sense?
  5. So, in your interpretation, you should then by ok with all adult americans being allowed to carry a M16, but no other guns are allowed? The interpretation is that you are allowed to have what the average foot soldier carries. Hence, no other guns are allowed. Would you go along with such a law?
  6. Though, it is my understanding that wa snot the intent behind that part of the Bill of Rights. You never did reply to my other response though.
  7. Ok, then when is a judge, or any person for that matter, right? Apparently not Though one could ensure adequate protection for one self by training martial arts and sometimes some advance planning and common sense or maybe even using a knife. Hence, guns do not have to a part of the rights under the Bill of Rights. It does not say in the Bill of Rights that americans will be allowed to carry along guns of all types?
  8. obviously that interpretation is open to change. But, the average foot soldier really carries a very small number of arms. I am sure the NRA would not really stand for that large of a restriction. The average footsoldier does not carry a magnum .44.
  9. Funny enough, I changed it from bear to bare before I hit "posy reply" Exactly, so it could be possible that at some point in time a judge will decide that guns are not part of the arms one can bear under the Bill of Rights. Or am I wrong in thinking that? I guess what I am trying to say is that the Bill of Rights really doesn't offer that much protection?
  10. nuclear arms, chemical arms etc. Hence I would assume that the Bill of Rights does not give you the right to bare all arms?
  11. Still makes me wonder why certains arms are not permitted though. Maybe the Bill of Rights does not have as much power as some would like it to have?

    Invisible

Actually I noticed it after I looked at a link in this thread: http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=765385;sb=post_latest_reply;so=ASC;forum_view=forum_view_collapsed;;page=unread#unread namely: http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?do=user_list;sb=user_posts;so=DESC; I was looking for an online talkback moderator earlier, only to see that none were online. Then on the link I saw you were invisible and would not have shown up in that list. Then I wondered what the benefits would be. Now, are you going to answer the question or what?

I am just wondering what the benefits are to being invisible with regards to people being able to see if you are online? For those who have themselves set to invisible, I ask why?
  15. If you ask me anything, I'll tell you whatever I want to tell you. I still don't really understand what you are trying to say though, so if you could explain it a bit further I can reply to it. Thirdly, don't you think it is a tad simplistic to assume that one is either pro or anti american? edited for spelling
  16. Too bad this forum is degenrating more and more into a forum of name calling.
  17. I am with you on that one, even though you are french-canadian
  18. Yes and because other things are bad, there is obviously no use to discuss guns. I have never understood that argument. Yes, people get killed by other means than just guns. How astute of people to notice. However, that doesn't mean we should therefor not discuss guns.
  19. Huh? Smartest woman in the world? By the way, I think you are confusing your links. On one side is the possible link between AQ and SH. Secondly there is the discussion about whether there is a link between SH and 911.
  20. I would look at your current conversion rate. How many leads does it on average take you toconvert into a commission. Then, you will have to make a judgement call on the quality of the leads and adjust the rate accordingly. If it doesn't work, it continues to be a tax write off which will lessen the burden. The way you make it sound, it sounds very positive and I would go for it. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
  21. Looking forward to spending Christmas and New Years with my beautiful wife and family.
  22. I am so happy that the US now has a president who lies about evidence he supposedly has to go to war. That is far less serious than lieing about a blow job, I mean that really is bad. Plus, I am very happy the current president hears voices in his head. I feel so much safer knowing that god talks to him and tell him what to do. Yup, The world is so much better off. In stead of a lie about a blow job, we now have a lie that resulted and continues to result in hundreds if not thousands of deaths. But, you are so right, a blow job is much more serious. edited for spelling
  23. I am so sorry, I know the hardship, but time really does heal wounds.
