Where I grew up we called that parents and extended family.

Then in your mind an 18 year old is mature enough to own a gun, but not mature enough to have a drink after a successful hunt? I disagree, but I guess we will have to agree to disagree.
-
To me that indicates that those in that age group are deemed not to have the maturity to handle the responsibility of alcohol. Why would they be mature enough to handle the responsibility of a firearm?
-
Sp, there has been quite a bit of talk about it then in the US? Something to indicate that society does think 18 year olds are mature enough to handle a beer? Or, does lowering the drinking age rarely get mentioned?
-
Oh, I am sorry, I thought that american citizens voted for members of congress? I would think that if society had an issue with the drinking age, they would vote for people willing to change that. Since that has never even remotely been on the horizon, I would have to assume that the american society does not think an 18 year old is mature enough to have a beer. Hence, I still question why one would then think that that same 18 year old would be mature enough to own a firearm?
-
If as a society you don't think your members are mature enough at 18 to drink one beer, why would that same 18 year old be mature enough to own a firearm?

You can either pay to have it delivered faster...or you could have been following the news for the last 2 years or so.

Right. So, at some point taxes will have to be raised to cover the debt. That's why I don't understand the concept of lowering taxes while at the same time increasing spending by mass amounts. I think the fact that you find yourself in this mess, is a pretty clear indication that what you ahve been doing so far isn't working.

I don't think you should believe "beyond a shadow of a doubt" that you'll have fun and land safely. I think every time you jump from a plane, there should be significant doubt about that outcome. This sport is inherently dangerous, the more prepared you are, the better off you will be. You can do everything right and still die. I believe that unless you truly embrace and believe that bolded statement, you are jumping under false pretenses and should think some more before you make your next jump.

It would probably be more likely to be a group of Israelis sueing the US government under international law.

Very true, and it will be interesting to see when that happens. Specially when/if they ever decide to build a permanent base on the moon. Dennis played it smart though. he sent a letter to the UN, the US and the USSR at the time claiming ownership. None of them ever replied to his, which I think wasn't smart. The UN resolution clearly states that no country can claim ownership, but nothing is said about private or corporate ownership. This will end up in a court case at some point, which will be interesting to follow.

When is increasing debt the right thing to do?

Didn't house prices rise by over 100% in Calagray this year? I would say investing in your house is a relatively safe way to spend your money in Calgary. You must be happy you held on to that house when you moved to the US. -
Talk to Dennis Hope, he has already claimed the moon and is selling it. read here: http://www.jpost.com/servlet/Satellite?pagename=JPost%2FJPArticle%2FShowFull&cid=1167467657040

Now, THAT is a great title!!

No, and I wasn't refering to man-made satellites and spacecraft either... The UN resolution states that no "country" can claim ownership, it says absolutely nothing about "private" ownership.

blah, blah, blah... Can you actually point to a guilty verdict by a court? No, then according to your own laws he is not guilty.
