  1. Half a million people were killed by bats in three months? Where did this take place, or are you taking some liberties with actual facts?
  2. Right. Saying that guns are more effective at killing people than bats is the same as wanting to ban guns. Incredible levels of logical thinking are being displayed here.
  3. Sure, lets put total people killed by bat, total people killed by machette and total people killed by firearms in one table and see which one has the bigger number. Lets use the last decade. Another progunner who isn't able to face facts.
  4. Comparing apples to oranges. Just because currently more people are being killed by motor vehicles compared to firearms does not mean the motor vehicle is a more effective killing tool. Why is it that the pro-gun crowd cannot even admit that firearms are more effective killing tools than bats, knives, cars, ballpoints, paperclips etc.? How your army is outfitted is a pretty decent indication of what is effective at killing and what is not. I doubt many of the soldiers would like to trade in their firearms for a bat and a prius.
  5. I said "more effective", not "not effective". You either can't read or your prolonged employment as a mercenary outside of the country is effecting your language skills.
  6. No, it wouldn't. If bats were more effective than guns, your army would be outfitted with them. Putting the two at the same level in terms of effectiveness at killing is just stupid. The better a tool is at killing, the more rules, regulations and laws are involved.
  7. Stop being ignorant on purpose. For killing purposes a bat is a less effective tool than a gun.
  8. Ratio between population sizes and total medal counts is significantly in The Netherland's favour. You have seen a fat guy and a fat woman in Euro, so Europeans are just as fat as Americans? That's some funny reasoning. When you start looking at data as opposed to an anacdote, you will find that Americans are significantly more fat and obese than Euros. Two thirds of Americans are either overweight or obese. A far majority thinks they are eating a healthy diet, which would make them not only fat, but also stupid. You know the type, a double Big Mac with cheese, and a Diet Coke.
  9. Nothing at all. Though I am for instance happy that our local schoolboard decided to figure out why such a large group of portugese kids kept dropping out of high school. They found a cultural reason that is likely responsible and it has allowed them to address Portugese parents specifically to try and address this. I really don't see an issue with such programs, nor do I see how being blind to group differences would yield a better solution.
  10. How do you end a conversation at a social function and not leave the function?
  11. quade: GQ_jumper: Why would anybody ignore your direct experience? You guys appear to be agreeing with eachother.
  12. Why? What is wrong with establishing that different communities/ethnicities can have different needs?
  13. How can he be The One if he is an ex? Denial is a very powerful thing!! Ever think those "bad dates" you list above were just trying to blow you off.....
  14. I agree. Will be interesting to see how this develops. Won't be too long until sugar will be on this "list" as well.
  15. Yup, that is the point being made. Some people have an irrational fear of guns, others have an irrational fear of muslims. Fear and anger taints the persception of each individual person.
  16. Or holding the NRA national convention in Denver right after Columbine. Many were offended by that. I wonder what your stance was on that subject...
  17. How would we possibly run out of gold?
  18. He should have just mumbled something about a mushroom cloud and invaded some country with towelheads. America, Fuck Yeah.
  19. And there is a bigger stigma on sex than violence. One might wonder if there is any correlation or causation.
  20. So you either play childish games during your work, or you were "misunderstanding" in your previous post. Got it. You are the one introducing change, I just asked you a simple question. Which you seem to be unable to answer. What you *did* do was start acting based on an assumption. In the mean time, you state here you wouldn't do such a thing. Looks like your actions don't support your mouth.
  21. You probably do it quite frequently in your job. "If this happens, then what do we do?" "If that happens, then what do we do?" As opposed to what? Actual future scenarios? You have a time machine over there?
