This is the standard playbook to make sure you can continue to blame another entity. Constantly different standards, with the only one unchangeable item is that it has to make Trump look good. If the media reports what he says literally and it makes Trump look bad, the argument is the media should have provided more reporting on what the President meant and is therefor biased. If the media ascribes meaning to a statement and it makes Trump look bad, the argument is the media should stick to literal reporting and should allow for others to make up their own minds. The chaos Trump creates constantly allows for him and his supporters never having to be held to a single standard. It constantly shifts and with it they can constantly shift. With the end result being that they can always argue it is the media's fault.

He didn't instruct, he suggested. I also haven't seen any reputable media saying Trump instructed people to do so. Why are you constantly building strawman arguments to defend Trump? "I see disinfectant, where it knocks it out in a minute, one minute, and is there a way we can do something like that by injection inside, or almost a cleaning"

I think it is much simpler than that. I think it just boils down to money. Religious groups and people are a good source of funds. Those same groups have religious objections to abortion they want to see codified for the rest of the country and will pay good money to get that done.

Shows the difference between Democrats and Republicans nicely doesn't it. Democrats feel like they need to support women getting abused, groped, assaulted and raped. Republicans see rape and sexual assault as a great way to score political points. -
The most common defense from the christian right in the US appears to be that at least they don't kill them. Somehow they think that makes it all better.

Can we wait with the credit until Ethiopia has actually received ventilators they didn't have to overpay for? Trump has a long history of making grand gestures, but he also has a long history of not delivering on them.

What is interesting about the first link you posted? People keep complaining about "the media" but they are generally too stupid to read and understand more than a headline. Then they are generally too stupid to actually see if there is any truth to what is being claimed. "The Established Media" on aggregate is doing a far better job than any all of the bloggers and internet only "media" outlets combined. The problem isn't "The Media", the problem is a population that is too stupid to determine fact from fiction. -
Look up Jesus Camp on Vimeo and you'll be able to say the same thing about Christianity. (Thank you to whomever it was that brought up that documentary in another thread)

Thank you for pointing out why it is so incredibly damaging when people in a position of power say things that are not grounded in fact. Most people are simply not smart enough to understand it is complete bullshit. -

Can you provide evidence the NOAA claimed 2019 was cooler than the past? Nothing in their press releases.
