So, at 3 oclock today i was given my two day notice. My company merged, and about half of the workforce was getting laid off and two months ago i was told i wasnt part of that half. Today however, they tell me my last day will be thursday. I am so fucked right now. Student loans, rent, bills, and not a drop of savings cus im in AFF right now and will have to stop jumping for god knows how long... so now, i am sitting with a bottle of Jack, and drowning this shit away. Ugh, please send some find work soon vibes this way, cus in about 3 weeks unless i find something i'll be living on the street. I wish my pants had a 3-ring system. Maybe my girlfriend wouldnt have such a problem trying to get them off...

Yeah seriously. Ive had the pleasure of jumping in Hawaii and Capetown. Talk about the best views in the world. Now i get to see the haze over Pittsburgh, on a good day. Im in college, eat only things that have been frozen or packaged in tiny little delicious raemen packages. I cut out lots of fun stuff to jump, which doesnt bother me a bit. Oh, try selling your body to science, theres always hospitals/researchers that will pay you decent money to rub some cream on your arm to see if it burns or not, or tell them how you feel about smoking a pack a day. Looking out of the door the first time was a life changing experience for me. Did my first tandem in Hawaii at Pacific Skydiving, second one in Capetown at Skydive Capetown, as soon as i got back to the states i sold all my worldly possesions and even sold my body to science (god damn smoking research studies, im sitting here scratching a patch right now that i dont even want to wear, howerver if i wear it for 5 days they pay me, and that means i jump more) just to fund AFF and soon some gear. It opened my eyes and for the first time in my life gave me something i feel passionate about. Blue Skies, Dmitry. I wish my pants had a 3-ring system. Waiting till the 17th cus i'll be out of town this coming weekend, and the one after that is just no good for shitty girlfriend related issues. But, if youre around that weekend look for the guy not wearing a jumpsuit and sitting indoors for 8 hours. I wish my pants had a 3-ring system. Hey all. Im 99% sure im starting my AFF training on the 17th (or whatever weekend that is) at Skydive PA. Just wondering if anyone out there considers that their home DZ or maybe even works there? I went at SkyDive Capetown. Cool little place, although they only had a couple cessnas. I see you're from JoBurg. I heard that was an interesting place, unfortunately the closest I got to there was this bar called Jo Burg on Long St in Capetown. I wish my pants had a 3-ring system. Maybe my girlfriend wouldnt have such a problem trying to get them off...

So for the past four months i was traveling around the world, and in the process managed to go tandem twice. Once in Hawaii and then again in South Africa. In Hawaii i became friends with the guys at the DZ and i am now completely hooked. Unfortunately in the three days that I did get to experience the whole skydiving vibe, I also got the worst side of it, one of my new friends passed on the day after I met him in an unfortunate accident. Even after seeing the worst of it, i can't stop thinking about skydiving and in the next few weeks will be signing up for an AFF program around Pittsburgh. If anyone is around here, say hi.
