  1. ***At the beginning of this thread, hooknswoop posted what seemed to me to be a quote from the tandem master involved in the incident. In that quote was the following; "...After the jump I worked with my local tandem examiner and submitted a full report to Relative Workshop. The two instructors who touched my drouge were spoken to and were disciplined for their actions. One tandem instructor no longer conducts tandems at our drop zone. The other instructor was suspended for the rest of the year and had to sit through the tandem instructor ground school before resuming tandem instruction...." Quote If you would have read all the posts you would have seen that the first jumper had to retake the cousre becouse he was caught forging his membership and instuctor renewels on his USPA documentation, and for forging signatures on an I/E application. The second jumper still conducts tandems at the DZ on occasion.
  2. ***Oh, just thought I'd give you all an update since everyone's "enjoying" this video. The video is at least 2 years old. Someone must have "forgotten" to mention that. The video was shot last summer
  3. Another place to see the video http://www.sharkle.com/?a=video&id=2578
  4. I can’t believe you think safety is not my concern; safety at a DZ should by everyone’s concern. These people involved in this jumps are all instructors. They are the ones who train our students. If they can’t be safe themselves we must question how they are teaching their students. I don’t think Relative Workshop approves of a harness hold exit; furthermore the TI did at least 3 summersaults with another jumper attached along with deploying the drogue. Also the TI needs to be stable and throw the drogue within 5 seconds. It was very possible that the student could have pulled the main without the TI knowing about it. If that happened with the jumper above it could have resulted in 3 deaths. Then if that was not bad enough the second jumper stood on the tandem pair and pulled the drogue from the attachment point. Had the pin became dislodged there was a possibility of three deaths. In my eyes just about everything in this jump was unsafe Not only are these people teaching our new students they are also sending a message to lower experienced jumpers that this is ok. They should be setting an example of safety and good judgment. Younger jumpers see this kind of stuff and say well if they are doing it must be safe. They don’t know any better. I am not saying that this video has anything to do with the two deaths there but I have to ask the question what kind of safety and training environment is in place here. Maybe if emergency procedures were stressed these other incidents would not have happened.
  5. There has been 2 deaths at this DZ this year! Three people could have died in just this incident. Don't you think it is time for stuff like this to be stopped! Why is it important who I am? As far as my intentions and purpose, well that should be obvious SAFTEY
  6. http://www.skydivingmovies.com/ver2/pafiledb.php?action=file&id=2806 WOW!!! Take a look at this video on skydivingmovies.com. Sure does not look like something I would want to try at home. Sure am glad they did not end up in any incident reports. What do you think?
