  1. Well, I've kept one toe in the water. I've been doing some contract work for a former employer - so I haven't been completely out of work. Thanks for the advice. I plan to be somewhat picky because I don't want to become a job hopper. Finding the right fit the first time is worth the extra time and patience. Jump, Land, Pack, Repeat...

  4. Well...after six years as a stay at home mom, I'm ready to go back to work full time. I have a BS in Accounting with a Business Minor and 11+ years of experience. So...here's the question. Do I use a placement agency? I live in the Washington DC area. I'm going through the post online and the bulk of the jobs listed are listed by placement agencies. Anyone have any experience with using a head hunter? Jump, Land, Pack, Repeat...

  8. When I was in college, I had a boyfriend who eventually turned out to be gay. I thought he was gay when he asked me out, but he insisted he was not. We dated for about four months. The sex was fine, but he really enjoyed taking naps together and helping me pick out clothes to wear. Months after we broke up, he and his boyfriend Peter came over for the evening. We were drinking together - just having a great time. Johnny went to the bathroom and while he was gone Peter said, "Can I ask you for some advice?" I said sure - not having a clue what he was going to say. Then he said, "Johnny said that you give awesome head. Do you have any pointers?" I took that as a compliment : ) I just assumed that guys would know exactly what to do because they actually have the same parts. I'm sure that it's like anything - the more experience you have the better the performance. Jump, Land, Pack, Repeat...
  9. I'm very sorry you are going through this difficult time. I know there are no words that I can say that will make you feel better, but we are all thinking about you. Sending hugs, Sarah Jump, Land, Pack, Repeat...

  11. Do you have a favorite entry in your logbook? Mine was my fourth AFF jump... CAT D1 with video... Good climb out, but left with knees up a bit. 2 practice touches while Instructor released. Great 90's with excellent heading control and speed. Five 90's with good altitude awareness and solo pull at 5K. Rear riser turns with brakes set, unset 90's. Good execution of flight plan with minimum radio assistance. Flare way to fast @ approx. 25', told to hold it and PLF. Awesome Freefall. Review flare height...not cleared from radio. So...here's why it's my favorite...I broke my ankle on this jump, but the instructor didn't mention it : ) Jump, Land, Pack, Repeat...

  20. Smack him! You aren't being unreasonable. My husband has a close friend - she is absolutely gorgeous - she's an opera singer - she's 5' 10" and could be a model. She does the same damn thing! I can't eat with her. Jump, Land, Pack, Repeat...
  21. Savor those memories : ) I love how little babies get excited with their entire bodies! It's so cute to watch their little legs and arms go. I woke my teenage son up this morning and he told me to go away : ( Jump, Land, Pack, Repeat...

  23. This morning, my teenage son said that I'm a really good mom, but I would be even better if I got some "happy pills". I told him that I don't have a chemical imbalance in my brain - I have an imbalance in my life. However, I think if I got some "happy pills", it would be easier to ignore the bad. I am working on fixing my life so eventually I'll have happiness, but in the meantime - do I need happy pills? It's a Catch-22 : ( Jump, Land, Pack, Repeat...
  24. Teenage boys...I hear ya! There are days when I think my son is going to be the death of me, but I wouldn't trade him for anything! Jump, Land, Pack, Repeat...
