  1. No - Piers Morgan is just known as a complete dick. The anti gun side of things is irrelevant. Never try to eat more than you can lift
  2. Ah right, so you only credit the author when he agrees with you. Nothing to see here, move along. Never try to eat more than you can lift
  3. So you agree with the article? Never try to eat more than you can lift
  4. If you live somewhere that has socialised health care then that's fine. If you don't then it's really not. This is one of the problems that the ACA is designed to fix. If you break a leg, or get diagnosed with cancer, or a million other things that you cannot predict and have nothing to do with your "healithiness" then either you are covered (whether that's ACA or socialised healthcare or whatever) or you are not, which leads to bankruptcy, crippling debt or alternatively the state ends up paying for all of it anyway with no contribution from you. If the insurance model is the one you go with like in the US, you can't wait to get ill before paying premiums because that would quickly put all the insurance companies out of business, due to money out > money in. 7. Couple around Auckland are good for the north island. In the south, Motueka. Outside of that, sport skydiving at any decent level is fairly rare here. A lot of the DZ's are primarily tandem shops and while you will get jumps, don't expect anything remotely approaching the better european DZ's, there just isn't the jumping population to support it. 13. Sure, but where do you draw the line? Taxes classes as being forced to give up some of your stuff. Do you think we shouldn't have any? Everyone does things they don't want to, it's the price of living in a civilised society. Never try to eat more than you can lift
  14. Dawkins is as bad as a lot of the religious people he is so against. He's living proof of the fact it's not just what you say but also how you say it. While in principle I agree with a lot of what he says, (and some of his earlier books, the blind watchmaker and the selfish gene in particular are spot on and explain why creationism is such nonsense) he comes across as a headcase. 15. Interesting one. Had to do some reading myself on this one. The important part seems to be that a number of the larger economies, notably China and Japan seem to be actively wanting to move away now. No idea what the answer is, but the takeaway from the reading I did seems to say that it doesn't really matter what the US does to stop it, if other economies really want to move away they will. And if they do, the US$ is in for a tough time. Never try to eat more than you can lift

  17. Scary I'm with Remi, the only time they seem to help is when they are long pants and then only with the lower legs and most seems to help circulation and from getting tired so fast.. Tops don't seem to do anything at all. Agreed. And I found them more beneficial for recovery than for the training itself. They certainly won't make your WOD's any easier Never try to eat more than you can lift

  20. So what? I think you missed the point. You former military people would probably do a great job in a high pressure situation with or without the gun. (Depends on what branch and role in the military of course - the Royal Marines are some of the best out there in terms of front line troops. Some support roles, analysts etc, maybe not so much) Someone with a gun but without that training might potentially do more harm than good, especially if they are a little bit gung ho about "taking out" the terrorists Just a thought.
