The Acts and Deceptions of the Elitist Congress Gun Banners
Stumpy replied to rushmc's topic in Speakers Corner
Oh wow, so many stereotypes, so little time. And people wonder why the right wing keeps losing elections Your first sentence, while crude, fine - you are entitled to your opinion. Your second - really? That's your argument? I am sure you are an oil painting. Never try to eat more than you can lift -
The fifth book in the increasingly innaccurately named trilogy Never try to eat more than you can lift

That funnily enough has also been called into question recently (Dolphin intelligence). Nothing conclusive but it was interesting nonetheless. Ethically, I don't see this as any worse than the hot dog example, or having a tuna sandwich at an aquarium, or something like that IF (and it's a big if) the population of any of those animals is sustainable, and processing is humane. The Japanese don't have the same trait of identifying with animals as much as we do. Never try to eat more than you can lift

Not "just for the heck of it." Because it's really, really fun in a Porsche. If I can see that there's no traffic coming, then sometimes I will take an extra lap and hang the tail out a little going around. Also useful for learning to get knee down on a bike. DON'T let the fuzz see you doing this however Never try to eat more than you can lift

Thanks all, seems like I can't go wrong with Tikka, Rem, or Savage. I'll see what the local shop has and just see what sort of a deal I can get. I'll basically be shooting it out of the box - not really interested in too much customisation. Never try to eat more than you can lift

http://www.buzzfeed.com/tomphillips/the-best-of-the-amazing-penis-beaker-debate Funniest thing today, but I guess the OP really regrets putting it out there. (so to speak) Never try to eat more than you can lift

And also, what THE FUCK are you talking like there is no such thing as turbulence in skydiving? If flying these wings in potentially turbulent air is stupid risky, then it's stupid risky to skydive on any hot day, any day where there could be a dust devil, and day where the winds might shift unexpectedly. Turbulence happens. Knowing how to avoid it is in most cases enough, and in some cases not. This is the risk we take all the damn time even as skydivers! So please, go stand in the landing area at Eloy screaming about how it's not safe because none of them are flying parachutes designed for turbulence. I'm sure they'll be glad to hear you out. If you want to give a shit, educate people properly on the risks of turbulence and how to avoid it best you can. Don't throw a fucking hissy fit. Attitude aside, all Yoink is trying to say (and I agree) is that while Speedflying CAN be done with a skydiving wing, its not the best or safest by a long way, and most people would be much better off with a decent instructor on something designed for it. As an aside - turbulence on the side of a hill, while fundamentally the same thing is a very different beast to a bit of rough air on a nice flat landing area. Never try to eat more than you can lift

And for another example of interesting civic design, there is the magic roundabout. Even the locals struggle with this one. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magic_Roundabout_(Swindon) But on the whole, Roundabouts >>>4 way stop Never try to eat more than you can lift

Unfortunately living where I do, the choice is pretty limited (not just a gun thing - there just isn't the population here to justify importing everything!). I'll keep an eye out for these though - looks like they have some nice features. Never try to eat more than you can lift

Probably .308, its the regular choice for deer here. New, and interesting you say savage because they seem to come in about half the price of a tikka here - optics had been on my mind as well, as I am almost inclined to go higher end on the optics than the rifle itself for now. yep - put the clean funding bill in front of congress and stop trying to hold everyone hostage to try and derail a LAW that has been judged constitutional. Easy. what does a law being constitutional have to do with anything? It is bad law Time to get rid of it So they should try and get it voted away then - oh wait, they have, 42 times. FAILED EVERY TIME. So they resorted to hostage taking. Sad really, like kids in a playground. Never try to eat more than you can lift

That may be true. However you said there was a way to avoid the shutdown, and that was it. Never try to eat more than you can lift

hehe - budget doesn't stretch that far and for the few times a year I hunt to fill up the freezer, not really worth it. Just spotted a mossberg ATR in price range as well. Choices choices. Never try to eat more than you can lift

Shadowy paste is sticky stuff - but not too bad on toast. In answer to your question (as provocatively worded as it may be): Because he was far better than the alternative. Never try to eat more than you can lift

Well when it came from Romney, there didnt seem to be a problem. So no, reality is reality, your perception is something a long way from that. Never try to eat more than you can lift

but we agree if i dont like the title i can stop right there and vote no. if i do like the title, i have to read the entire bill word for word to make sure there is nothing i do not like, before it is acceptable to vote yes. In addition to often being misleading, titles are inoperative, so there's never any reason to make a decision based on the bill's title. In fact, the entire forward/summary you see at the beginning of legislation that supposedly tells you what the bill does is inoperative. It's the team that wrote its sales pitch. It's not until you get down to the part where it starts talking about adding, removing, and changing parts of sections of various legal code that bills start doing anything. Gotcha. But under no circumstances should you start by reading the entire bill, and then form an opinion on its entirety? Just read until you see something you don't like. But not the title, or the intro, they don't count. Slow learner ain't ya? He clarified . . . something UNACCEPTABLE not something he didn't like. unless unacceptable is too large a word for you. then it makes sense. Unacceptable means different things to different people. Its pretty clear that for most of the Republican side of the house, the fact that it's written by the Dems makes it unacceptable. Never try to eat more than you can lift
