  1. "maths" - I find that funny. SC has a good point, the details don't matter when we are picking at differences of a couple feet across. (Though we use the 'corners' quite a bit, it seems). You might find it funny but we invented the language He he Never try to eat more than you can lift

  4. From the same source "Before the latest death, Police Memorial Trust figures showed 27 officers were killed in the 1970s, 42 in the 1980s, 21 in the 1990s and 15 since 2000." And "Pc Tonks' concerns over safety are echoed throughout the police service. Crisis management expert Peter Power, a former Metropolitan police officer who specialises in shootings, agreed that it is "incredibly rare" for an officer to be shot. "In other countries it is not quite so rare - we must never lose sight of that," he said. However, Mr Power said it was a "myth" that gun ownership was more common than in the past. " You can read that story both ways - there are other opinions in there as well. Never try to eat more than you can lift

  11. There have been armed response teams for a long long time. (since long before the ban i believe). Its still not a large proportion of the police force, but i think most major cities have one or two. 99.99 per cent of the time, the normal bobbies are all that is required. 14. What makes you think I disagree with you on this? The govt. should prove its case, just as it should with the Gitmo inmates. Otherwise we are consenting to the govt. having arbitrary powers. It applies across the board: warrantless wiretaps, imprisonment without trial, secret prisons, no travel lists... all based on the say-so of the CinC or his lackeys. So let's here you say the magic words: "I agree with the NRA on this issue". See if you can bring yourself to admit it in public. I double-dog dare you. I agree with the NRA on this issue - see, easy. Your problems on this one are way bigger - this shady middle ground between criminal and law abiding Never try to eat more than you can lift

  22. I think its in the construction. In terms of function - i BELIEVE the newton sights and others (although not the lollipop) do exactly the same thing, but i think the brent ones are made differently - harder wearing, more scratch resistant etc. Of course that might be a load of bowlarks Never try to eat more than you can lift
