you just can't win with women "love" is used endearingly but it upsets you

Does anyone that knows me want to tell Superman how much he has just ticked me off by calling me "love."? no worries female unit. edited for safety.

no worries, love. i'm always careful when chatting with a students. plus i don't believe any of them has mentioned anything to tick me off j/k

any 1st timers there. if i see them solo or really nervous i'll walk right over and talk to them and chill with them

i know, i was especially nervous about my level 3 tandem becuase i rushed through my maneuvers in my level 2, my instructor brought it up, but still said i did well enough for level 3. no worries though, my level 3 went smooth as possible, dispite slight distractions.

when i'm going over my routine for my class and i'm distracted, i believe i have just as much right to complain as the next person. as stated by kris: "get what Superman is saying, to a low # jumper, having someone else going on about the end of the world is awfully disconcerting, especially when that student is possibly trying to gather their nerves and readying for their next jump. It's discourteous." plus, i don't remember stating how i was such "hot shit" and i've made repeated attempts to clarify that it is not my intention to portray myself in such a manner, so i'd appreciate it if you stopped accusing me of acting of such behavior.

ironically enough, i never stated that i've been around, re read my posts. and 1st timer is not being used here as a derogatory statement to imply noob skydivers. I know i still have plenty to learn, but let's face it. a first tandem skydive doesn't involve a whole lot of work. (on part of the student.) cross arms, shuffle to door, arch, enjoy the ride!!! i usually talk to them about what to expect on the way down, what it feels like, try to calm em' down, reassure them they'll have a great time, etc. just because i have 3 jumps doesn't mean i have less authority to talk to a new jumper about the experience than a person with 3,000. we were all there at one point and i'm sure we all remember what it felt like.

It means nothing. Dreams are just random memories zipping around and running into each other, sometimes combining in odd ways. amen.

i think you're misunderstanding me. i'm not ego tripped. I love talking to the first timers about any concerns they might have because, hey, i was there not too long ago (i did my 3rd and last tandem this weekend, on to IAF!!!) but the last thing i like to think about on the DZ is death, so it kinda gets under my skin when a new guy starts shouting about it. i don't get it their face or say i'm better. hey, it's their first time and they're in for a heck of a ride. i always hope they enjoy it.

Yeah, a weather hold actually i'm praying for one so i can get ground school done this weekend. all done with my tandem jumps can't wait to jump IAF next time.

the problem here isn't the length it's the filesize. you're going to have find a good compression utility. Either straight mpeg compression or avi -> mpeg compression.

i usually don't mind when a 1st timer is suited up, wandering about the DZ waiting for his load to go up, and is being somewhat loud. "YEAH BABY" "HERE WE GO" "WE'RE SKYDIVING!!" doesn't bother me. but whenever i hear "THIS IS THE END, IT'S ARMAGEDDON", "MY LAST DAY ON EARTH!" i get somewhat annoyed. i realize the inherent danger we each accept with our sport, and i know its monumental for these new guys to face that danger...but it just gets under my skin for some reason when they bring up death in their bravado manner. any other things that bug ya at the DZ?

my favorite color is black, so naturally my jumpsuit and container will be designed mainly with black as the primary color. I'm concerned, however, that if i make sunset of night jumps, i might create a dangerous condition because i'll be hard to see. are my fears unfounded?

i did this via pm not too long ago, but i want all those who browse the site to see. the whole situation that started as an offhand comment about law enforcement has snowballed completely out of control, i do not try to avoid any blame for pushing the snowball down the hill too. i felt the moderators acted inappropriately to the whole situation and thus i acted inappropriately - like an ass. so i'm here to apologize to the moderators for wasting your time and causing you headaches; for playing childish games; and for calling you derogatory names and questioning your character. To those who warned me nicely, thanks (even though i didn't heed to your advice). To those who personally attacked me, i deserve it (though if you're gonna keep doing it, do it via PM, ok? i don't want other people's theads inconvenienced on my account.) Sangiro has given me a second chance to here. I'm a cool guy who's very laid back, and since my chosen profession is law enforcement, i obviously love to help people. I don't expect big hugs and a warm welcome, but over time i'll prove myself again, one big apology, and thanks for the second chance oh and i'll be staying out of SC for a while

just an idea. the features for the yearly membership are great but the price seems a little steep to me. I think perhaps you'd see an increase in premiere memberships if maybe you offered a lifetime package. say at around $150-200 dollars and you never have to resubscribe. you're constantly getting new people to the board so you'll always have a new potential source of income. just a thought.

that's what i'm concerned about. my PT routine demanded a lot of calisthetics so i lost some weight, but i'll probably shoot back up to 185 once i start heavy lifting again. i'm afraid to buy a canopy and then outgrow it
