  1. Manifest will be open shortly!
  2. Allow me to share my night jump story... Frontier Skydivers in Wilson NY have always taken their night jumps seriously. They do them regularly, they are well rehearsed and they are very safety conscious. Twice a year they assemble a group of Pops. We started small, 6-ways, then 10, 12, 14, 15 culminating this past weekend at Batavia NY in an 18-way Pops night jump. The pilot left the Casa tailgate open till 8 thousand feet, the air was warm and the view was spectacular. The group is talented and make it look easy. I'm pretty certain the photo will make the magazines and was privileged to be part of it. Every time we do this, i question myself why. While everyone else is relaxing and sipping drinks, we're tapping each other with glow sticks. We use mandatory stobe lights. i also use a flash light and a miners head lamp to light up my canopy, just for show. But after we're done, the beer tastes even better and the excitement and proud accomplishment makes it all worth while.
  3. borgy wrote---I imagine a 170 would be a prety boring and long ride down. When ever i hear people with that "attitude" i think 'here's somebody that isn't going to last long in the sport' I've jumped my accuracy rig loaded at 0.65 lbs/sq ft over the Alps of Italy, Austria, Germany, over the Rockies and the Laurentians of Canada, over the Apalachians and Catskills of the US. The view was spectacular. I can land it going sideways and backward. I down size to my CRW rig at .85 lbs/sq ft to do stack rotations, tri-sides, wagon wheels, downplanes... When i get really daring i down size to my Demo rig at .95 lbs/sq ft. I've landed it in football stadium in front of tens of thousands of people, small backyards for $$ and anywhere in between. It's never boring, but you have to be willing to learn. i'm injury free in 20 years.
  4. A container harness system with adjustable main tray, so we can use the same rig for CRW, Swooping, Accuracy, Demos...
  5. Prices are in Can$ and there is only two weeks left to get ready!
  6. From the analysis segment of the report; one likeiy reason is the intrusion into the cockpit area of one or more jumpers who could have fallen into the area during the rolls or subsequent dive. If this did take place, the pilots cwld have been prevented from taking action to recover fron the dive.

  8. The purpose of demos is to promote the sport. You can get a group of sub-100 square foot canopies, from deployment to landing takes ~30 seconds, if the spectators can find them in the sky, then it's a 30 seconds show. Long surf, the spectators think 'impressive but scary, i don't think i could do this'. Or you can get a bunch of accuracy canopies, it takes them 3 minutes from two thousand feet, they are big and slow so people can find them in the sky. They land as if they had jumped from a chair and people think 'this is so soft, i think even i could do this'. Ps. i have 5 mains, i chose the big ones for demos, not of necessity!
  9. Think of the money you'll save. You won't need glow-sticks for night jumps!
  10. The only decision you made so far isn't good. There has been many, many discussions on jumpsuit prior and in case you missed my last post, i'm pasting it again; I've owned 5 Tony suits and i'll never buy another. The last one, measured by Tony himself, never fit right and lasted 60 jumps before all spandex needed replacement($150 repair). The new booties come 23 inches high. The replacement booties for an older suit were cut 21 inches high, leaving two holes on the knees immediately above’em ($115). A third suit needed a new zipper($40). The fourth i gave away with a broken zipper. Tony would not answer my queries about the shorten booties or why he would not use the spandex I had requested. Tony Uragallo is over-priced, uses inferior materials, lousy workmanship, shody repairs.

  12. What's with the "manifest only give us 15 minutes"? Do we look that naive?
  13. The bridle is 58 inches on my Vector III with a 30 inch pilot chute manufactured by Canadian Aerosports
  14. I've owned 5 Tony suits and i'll never buy another. The last one had to be repaired after 60 jumps; i sent 2 of the old ones to be repaired also and the repairs were atrocious. I communicated my dissatisfaction 3 times and never heard from Tony.
