Man I do hope you find that relief.Like you said,you get soooo sick of those drugs and the side effects start to overwhelm any, relief you get from them. Dude,Please listen to the others who posted on gettin another opion. lived with my pain that got progessivly worse since '89Multiple accident till 2003 when a jump accident REALLY sidelined me.Placed on permanant disability one year ago.I keep looking and looking for docs pain med after pain med after surgery after surgey. Finally this July I found a pain insitute in Pittsburgh that put me through(I'm still going through it)a physical ocupatioanl,and pychological program that got me to this point. I'm guessing that you have already tried the external stimulaor.(Some call it a TENS Unit)That is what I use because of the Neuros advice against the implanted unit secondary to my spinal damage. I was on Fentaly patches,40 mgs of OxyContin twice a day,and 15mgIR's for breakthrough pain. I went through a IPRP,got on Lodine, a dual channel TENS,and down to 10mg.Vics 2 xday Pain still ther but tolerable Bry -------------------------------------------------- Growing old is mandatory.Growing up is optional!! My Jeep had 6" suspension and 4" body lift with 5:38 gears on 44 Gumbo Monster Mudders. We used to joke it got gallons to the mile. I owned a 1978 CJ-7 when I was younger and loved it.But the I was younger and had to lift it,build the motor etc...Made it totally off-road and completely u/a to drive on road.Now I need a bit of both,more on then off,with realibilty being the most important thing.I never had trouble with my CJ, but that was how many years ago.
