I am a beginner learning the basics. Except wind tunnel and an instructor, is there any known method to test by yourself that you are falling straight? I think about a small sand bag or similar that I can release when reach the terminal velocity and then use it as a reference.

Hi everybody, This is not a joke: I just got as a gift a "Go Fast" - Freefly Pimp T-shirt. I know what pimp usually mean but I have no idea what it means in skydiving. Can anybody explain me the meaning? Please bear in mind that I am not a native English speaker. Thanks!
