  1. That's why we have moderators.
  2. I agree that her treatment is BS, Put her ass on report and send it up the chain. The WO in this case is too worried about looking bad and not having his people under control. As you well know too, the military is not a democracy nor should it be one. Why don't you fill out a request chit for Captains Mast and walk it up the chain with your grievance. Just make sure your record is squeaky clean. I guarantee you won't get past your warrant officer but it will bring his attention to the issue.
  3. [url]http://www.runnertriathletenews.com/ Sounds awesome, good luck.
  4. We just moved from Washington to Colorado and depending on where you are in the state you can check on cat odoption centers that can take the kittens and find them homes. They'll also help you with the the best recipes for preparation,..... I mean recommendations for care until they are old enough. Ask a local non-puppy mill type of pet store about PAWS or look on the internet for their info. I'm not sure what areas they cover in Washington. By the way,....we get more sunshine than you!

    I enjoy this video

It would be nice to see a moderator delete this thread.
  6. There are two main DZs in Oregon. One is in Eugene with, I believe two seperate and competing companies. Oh, Big John is in Madras, great group there too. The main one is Skydive Oregon in Molalla which is about 30 minutes outside Portland. That's where my wife and I started. Awesome DZ and staff. It was more difficult leaving the people at the DZ than leaving my family in Portland. In fact we even miss them more. SDO has a Turbo Otter and a Caravan. They don't give the tandems priority seats either. Let me know if you want more info.
  7. Thanks for all the info on riggers, I appreciate the help and PMs.
  8. Just moved to Evergreen and I need a rigger in Longmont.
  9. I didn't even read this thread other than the subject line. See my thread "House of Bush House of Saud"
  10. Ok, I'm back. Didn't the governement issue the findings in the 9/11 report?
  11. OK, I've had 3 Gin amrtinis and need time to mull Sundevils response over in the morning. It looks good. This is the kind of thread I like. Peoples opinions and good discussion.
  12. I agree about the bigger picture, enter the Carlyle Group and Bin Laden Group [two companies]. This is just the basic summary of the book. It also goes into details about the connections between the Saudis and Arab non-profit organizations in the US that funneled money to known terrorists. The connections with The Carlyle Group and the Saudis; how they hire top politicians to help the CG buy failing defense companies so they can inturn get huge contracts from the government due to their connections. How 140 Arabs were able to fly out of the country after 9/11 when all aircraft were grounded. The CIA either wasn't aware or was ordered by the white house to not ask them questions and just get them out of the country. The CIA knows they let suspects travel back to Saudi Arabia only to spend months tracking those same suspects down later and arrest them in other countries. I'm pretty skeptical about anything I read or see on TV but this book is a must read in my opinion. The book House of Bush House of Saud was actually written by Craig Unger. I do need to read the two books written by Robert Baer too. How were they? I'm half way into "Against All Enemies" by Richard Clarke. The book has some interesting information but I'm finding it to be slanted in it's presentation. There's a surprise. What do you think about prosecuting Bush for some of the implications made by Craig Unger?
  13. Has anyone else read this book? Very interesting account of 9/11 and the relationships between the Bush family and the Carlyle Group.
  14. Since we have separation of church from state and corporations have clearly taken over politics and dictate policy and law to their advantage why shouldn't they be separated. At what point are we going to say enough is enough? Is it only an issue [problem] if it affects ME, YOU or a particular individual. We are constantly lied to by the Democrats and the Republicans but we just laugh and say "That's a politician for ya". In the mean time we have lost our country to big business and now our freedoms are being taken away as well.
  15. My apologies, Michael Moore is not the filmaker. From Netflix: This documentary charts the spectacular rise of corporations as a dramatic, pervasive presence in our lives. Filmmakers Mark Achbar and Jennifer Abbott present a timely, entertaining critique of global conglomerates as they chronicle the origins of corporations, as well as their inner workings, controversial impacts and possible futures. The pros and cons are weighed via interviews with social critics such as Noam Chomsky and Michael Moore. So I can back to thinking he's a dirtbag.
  16. The movie is far from what has shaped my thoughts. That's my whole point, not to swallow anything whole-heartedly. I've been a republican for 20-years and ignored the other points of view out there no matter what party they came from. I've just recently started opeing my eyes and ears to other ideas and other peoples thoughts.
  17. Where do I even begin on this one. As you can probably see, I'm not much of a poster but things are starting to piss me off. Think about this subject line for a few minutes. How would things be different? Cheney and Haliburton for starters. The Iraq war that I once supported, until I stopped watching the news and started reading and putting things together for myself instead of letting the media paint my picture of what's going on in the world. People from other countries are shocked when they come to work and live in the US at how sheltered we are from the news of what's happenings in the rest of the world. I totally support our troops wherever they are stationed. But our president and his regime of corporate bullies went too far long ago and we all sit watching TV and do nothing about it. We were lied to by our president and his staff while he prepared and did invade a foreign country. It all comes down to one thing, money, profits and satisfying investors with larger returns. Good thing were not in Iraq for the oil, that could look bad. I watched a documentary by Michael Moore called "The Corporation". My wife and I were ready to start a revolution after that one. What really made us mad was that we hated Michael Moore, because we were told too. I don't even know where that idea entered my head. I knew nothing of the guy. This is a must see movie. I'm probably not making much sense because I'm so irritated right now. Corporations and our politicians are doing whatever they want and couldn't care less about the people. It's just a facade. What's your thoughts?
  18. The multi-sport aspect of the state is why we chose to move. That, and we're tired of the !@#$ing rain and clouds and damp ass mildew growing between my toes from living in the northwest. (I know what that statement is going to bring) The tunnel and skiing willl be awesome in the winter.
  19. Our house appears to be sold and we are finally moving forward on our long anticipated move. Does anyone know the Evergreen area west of Denver? We are driving over to check the area out at the end of October and also need to find a place to store our 23' camp trailer until we arrive in mid November. We visited the dropzone in Longmont last April and can't wait to make our first jumps. What's that? "300 days of sunshine a year" Any input or advice would be greatly appreciated.
  20. Is anyone using this software for editing? If yes, how do you like it? Any problems running it?
  21. Whats the status of yur needing a ride from PDX to SDO? I wasn't able to find anyone goinig by the airport at that time. I'll message you my cell phone #, send me yours in case we are able to get you. Jerry
  22. QuoteSo Plan B: Are there any local jumpers passing by or anyone else arriving in Portland Friday around 2:45pm that might be able to offer a ride? I'll see if anyone from our side of town is coming by the airport around that time. I'm not sure if we'll be going out to the DZ early or late on Friday. Are you camping out?
  23. Hey sdctlc my wife and I are from Poulsbo. As a junior birdman wanna-be, I have a question for everyone. I attempted a wingsuit rodeo with Scott at our Dz last weekend. It was very cool. Great exit. I was laying across his back instead of sitting on his waist. We spun a liitle before he shook me off. Any feedback. I'd love to try this again during the SDO boogie.
