  1. My mom and I did our first jump on the same day (it was a gift for her birthday) - now we've both got the bug, i'm working on my 'A' and she's going to start AFF soon (she's done 9 or 10 tandems so far...) pics of her first jump at skydive oregon She's also been the Northwest's skydiving evangelist - brining 10 of her friends on subsequent jumps... we had a party a few weeks ago where all of us brought our "first jump" videos and drank margaritas. It's weird to think that my mom reads my DZ.com posts... . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Don't be afraid of death, be afraid of the unlived life.

  3. LEVEL 4 -- SOMEWHAT STRAIGHT ACTING A few people might suspect that you might not be a heterosexual. No one knows for sure, but there are rumors about what you're doing on the weekends. Most of your traits are straight acting but a few traits you have are causing people to wonder, but nothing is so apparent that anyone is sure enough to bring it up. ............... It's weird, I'm not gay, but all the guys I date are -Mark . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Don't be afraid of death, be afraid of the unlived life.

There's plenty of interesting little spots in the Portland area to have a follow up date on. I'll come up with something . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . HTML Editors

Do you need an HTML editor or a web page layout program? If you want to edit HTML, ultraEdit and Homesite seem to be as good as any of them out there. More features than you'll ever use, a customizable interface to layout the elements on your editor as you choose... and simple logic for adding, editing, finding, replacing and analysing your HTML are all standard features in any HTML editor. Homesite was purchased by Macromedia a few years ago and is nice to use in tandem with Dreamweaver. If, however, you are managing the content of your web site - I don't recommend an HTML editor (unless they're ultra-geeky - like me - and want to be drenched in the code). If you're looking to manage your content, have your layout made in dreamweaver by somebody who knows what they're doing, and manage your content using "Contribute" click for contribute. Contribute lets you (or somebody who works for you) to manage the content on your site with only the skills of using a browser and an application similar to Microsoft Word. *IT IS NOT A WEB BASED APPLICATION* as are so many of the "content management solutions" out there... Contribute is an application that lives on your computer, connects to your web site, lets you browse your web site and then choose to "edit" a page. When you edit a page, it checks the page out to you to prevent another person (if you've got multiple content administration staff) from over-writing your work. Contribute has built-in image editing features, very intuitive interface for adding thinks like word documents, additional pages, links, etc etc... We've got about a dozen of our clients (who are NOT computer geeks) that manage 99% of the content on their own web site... they only use their webmaster to make high-level changes to the design template or if they need something that connects to the database. In house, we use Homesite, UltraEdit, VI, Dreamweaver and FlexBuilder depending on the application and need. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 12. Will it cost the party, or is the state responsible for the cost of the recount? I'm not an expert, but according to the Seattle Post-Intelligencer: "Gregoire's campaign is out of money and won't be paying for any recount; the state Democratic Party will. State party Chairman Paul Berendt said he expects the Democratic National Committee to help as well." I think it's the responsibility of the one who asks for the recount (or their specific supporters... their political party) . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 13. I voted for her too, but it appears that Gregoire (the dem) is going to ask for another recount... if she wants the entire state recounted - it'll cost her party $700k. Rossi asked her to concede, but apparantly she believes that 42 votes is a "tie". (from the Tacoma NewsTribute) "...Gregoire called the results 'a tie race' and announced that Democrats will call for a more intensive – and potentially expensive – recount." Come on... let's just move on with the business of running the state already.... . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Don't be afraid of death, be afraid of the unlived life.

  19. I just got this computer program. It's called "The Journey to Wild Divine". I has little sensors that you clip on to three of your fingers to measure your pulse and biofeedback such that you control the interactions of the game with your emotions. Juggle the balls by being happy and excited. Open the door by being meditative. I was trying to juggle the balls, and my dog sneezed and hit his head on the floor when he did - which made me crack up laughing... the balls went flying off the screen! Freaky. I just got it today, so I'm just starting the journey. Has anybody else heard or seen this game? . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 21. Yep - spent 6 years, did my duty, and got out in '96. Parche spelled backwards, "Eh! crap" I used navy training to fix electronics while I learned to make web sites... now I do that for a living. 23. Some estimates have the amount of oil in Iraq to be about 112 Billion Barrels of oil... some estimate a lot higher due to the lack of disovery and research done... The war is costing the United States about 4 Billion dollars a month. I'm confused - if we liberated them, and they're so "happy about it" (sarcastic tone in place) - why is it that we are not using the oil from Iraq to fund the war to liberate them from tyranny? What am I missing? (asking honestly, as I'm not a big knowledge-bank of world economy issues) Thanks! -Mark . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
