  1. Perhaps the fundamentals of aiming...but definitely not pleasing. It takes a while to learn the techniques of making a woman literally melt...and until you do, you'll never realize the power of the penis. Ciels- Michele ~Do Angels keep the dreams we seek While our hearts lie bleeding?~
  2. Thanks, Dave, I had no idea. Bear in mind, however, that Simon, my snowshoe siamese, is sitting in my lap staring at all these dogs. He's not quite sure what to make of it, but he's definitely staring at them. LOL! Ciels- Michele ~Do Angels keep the dreams we seek While our hearts lie bleeding?~
  3. I hope you're proven wrong tonight, too. He's a phenomenal director, and I know many actors would give anything to work with him. Yes, he can be violent. Yes, he challenges the norms. Yes, he can be controversial. But he's a brilliant director, and has pulled performances out of actors that the actors have never been able to repeat elsewhere. I know one person who voted for him...let's hope that more of the Voting Members did, as well. Ciels- Michele ~Do Angels keep the dreams we seek While our hearts lie bleeding?~
  4. Shell, I'd rather have a working dog, you know? It's all moot at the moment anyway...I can't have one, and that isn't going to change anytime in the near future...so I'll just dream of them, and look at all to damned cute photos here. 5. I wish I could get a dog...no room, no yard...not yet. But when I do, it'll be a baby, and it'll be a big one; any little dog my cats would run over. So I've gotta have one that will hold it's own with my existing herd. I'm thinking newfoundlands and/or OES and/or Lab. They're all lovely, wonderful, working/herding dogs; what better for my herd o' cats? Ciels- Michele ~Do Angels keep the dreams we seek While our hearts lie bleeding?~
  6. Yeah, well...it's true. You are smart. Should I have kept that a secret? Ciels- Michele ~Do Angels keep the dreams we seek While our hearts lie bleeding?~
  7. Perhaps everyone is just pondering the question that comes to mind..."how does a deaf man get a song stuck in his head?" Meh, in all honesty, that song doesn't stay in my brain too long. 'Course, not much does, but watteveh! Ciels- Michele ~Do Angels keep the dreams we seek While our hearts lie bleeding?~
  8. Because a lot of people don't know how to show love to a veritable stranger, or are very uncomfortable in doing so. There are three houses of worship that I give to - not financially, but all three have unwed/young/whatever mothers with "crisis pregnancies" within their organization, and are "ministering" to them the way the church/synagogue knows how. One of the ways is accepting donations for these girls/women, and always email a list of "needs and wishes." I always send in crochetted baby blankets, because I love to make them, and have no one to give them to. Let's change the circumstances a bit, though. What if you saw someone on the street, pushing a dilapidated baby stroller, with a cold looking child sitting in it? Most people would walk on by. They have compassion, but they also don't know how to show it. Should they give the Mom some food? Cash? Approach her at all? Leave her be and say a prayer? How do they express themselves without fear? Most people don't know how, so they say a prayer and walk on by...if they even notice them at all, but that's a different story. Most houses of worship don't have a program for crisis pregnancies...at least, not a public one. So how do people go about supporting their particular church/synagogue? By donating cash, or buying tapes and/or cds and/or trinkets. And some people don't tithe, but want to give anyway...and this is a way to do it. And another reason is that sometimes, that sermon was wonderful; inspiring. They want it to hear again, and/or share it with someone else. I see absolutely NO harm in it at all. As Kallend said, no-one's forcing anyone to buy it, and imho, it doesn't cheapen Jesus' message whatsoever while at the same time, provides a way to support those who need the help. 9. 'Cause I'm whipped from a heavy week of studying and exams - in both psych and microbiology. I ran around and did errands today and got half of my english assignments done as well, but I am really, really tired...so tired I can't decide dinner. And it's already 9:30. Prolly just a can of tuna...would someone be so kind as to meander over and fix it up for me? I'm too tired... Ciels- Michele ~Do Angels keep the dreams we seek While our hearts lie bleeding?~
  10. Fancy Feast! One of the best animal food marketing campaigns I've ever seen. A quick cost comparison between FF and the stuff I feed my herd makes it a no brainer. And a quick look at ingredients and a wee bit of knowledge about feline food needs solidifies the fact... No Fancy Feast in this house, unless the pet store is giving it away (and they do that, sometimes...I take the stuff both for my herd and for those outside/ferals that like a treat every once in a while...). 11. Alexander wasn't a woman, but liked men like women do. Or so a big display at my college decries. I have no independent verification of such. Ciels- Michele ~Do Angels keep the dreams we seek While our hearts lie bleeding?~
  12. Sorry to hear this, Moody girl. I hope you get treatment and pain relief soon! I'm not in a position to do anything about your pain or the way ERs are run; but if I were, I sure would! Hugs, watch the IB intake (alternate it with a different pain reliever, or liver problems can occur), and see a chiropracter. They really can make a difference. 13. One of my favorite restaurants is a place called "Ghengis Cohen," and it's yummy! So I vote for Hot and Sour soup as a good choice for illness chasing soup. Ciels- Michele ~Do Angels keep the dreams we seek While our hearts lie bleeding?~
  14. Chicken in White Wine Chicken breasts, boneless and skinless One large onion, sliced into large chunks 4 oz. mushrooms, washed and sliced White wine, generally less dry than not Flour In a non-stick skillet, brown chicken, turning so that it is equally brown on all sides. Add onion, mushrooms, and enough white wine to cover the chicken. Simmer until the chicken is done and the veggies are soft. Add wine as needed to keep chicken covered. Remove about 1/2 C of the liquid, and put into a cup. Add flour until the liquid is the consistency of sour cream (generally about 1 good sized tablespoon, but add slowly and stir constantly to prevent lumps). Add this to the pan, and cook for about 3 additional minutes, stirring often. Serve with fresh steamed green veggies, with the sauce from the chicken poured over it. I like asparagus and/or zuchini like this. Sometimes I make extra sauce to use with rice, potatoes, or other veggies; it keeps well, and freezes well, too. (And yes, I made this up, and make it often. It's a delightful dinner...and it tastes like it's not lowfat). And then, my favorite Skinny Mashed potatoes Peel and quarter a few potatoes. Add a whole thing of garlic, or two if you like garlic. Boil them until just soft. Drain all liquid, and return tates to the pot. Add low-fat, or non-fat sour cream and mocha mix or other non-fat liquid creamer, and smash these tates until they are smooth, creamy, and ready to eat. Spritz with that butter spray, if you like, but I like them just like this. Ciels- Michele ~Do Angels keep the dreams we seek While our hearts lie bleeding?~
  15. I'm not sick, but I'm thinking of making either split pea w/ham or beef stew tomorrow. Not sure which, but since it's going to be raining, I think I need some warm, thick, comfort soup with a biscuit or three... And I'm sick of studying, but I don't get a break until June. So...study I shall.... Ciels- Michele ~Do Angels keep the dreams we seek While our hearts lie bleeding?~
  16. I had a cat that broke her tail...it was during one of the big aftershocks of the '94 quake. Vet said nothing we can do, but make sure she's pooping. If not, bring her back in. Penny pooped fine, so no followup was needed; and yes, it was strange to see the tail dragging along the ground behind her. Good luck, and I'm sorry to hear your baby is hurtin'. 17. Finished my english homework...and now it's too late to do anything. I have to have a clear head to study tomorrow, anyway. Sigh. No one even responded to me...whatever. Ciels- Michekle ~Do Angels keep the dreams we seek While our hearts lie bleeding?~
  18. The night is young, and I feel like going out. However, I will finish up my english essay, and get to work studying for the two exams next week. Besides, I don't have anyone to go out with, anyway. Ciels- Michele ~Do Angels keep the dreams we seek While our hearts lie bleeding?~
  19. Happy Birthday! and...may you have many, many more. Ciels- Michele ~Do Angels keep the dreams we seek While our hearts lie bleeding?~
  20. "Heee, heee...haaaahahhaaaaa...please! Stop tickling me! I can't staaaaaaaannnnnnddddddd it!!!!!Heee, heee...haaaahahhaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Ciels- Michele ~Do Angels keep the dreams we seek While our hearts lie bleeding?~
  21. Feline friends, be they short, long, medium, or no hair, are dear to me. I do admit, though, that hairless cats are kinda creepy. Ciels- Michele ~Do Angels keep the dreams we seek While our hearts lie bleeding?~
  22. I've several stories, including the ex of a new boyfriend, and one misidentification. They were weird...and too long a story to dash off just before I get going to school. So... My (abusive) ex, God love him (no one else does), about 4 months after we broke up, got in touch with my father. Yes, he'd hit me. Yes, he'd been emotionally and verbally abusive to me, and even after I left him (with broken ribs; he had a broken jaw...) and he'd healed, wanted to still hang with Dad. Tried to take Dad fishing, or just hang out with him, even though we were split. I put a stop to that, explaining to Dad how wrong that was, and how sick my ex was. Not sure why he liked Dad so much, but he did... About a month after that, my ex drives up in his truck (I could identify the truck; it's weird, but I can still identify that truck...and it still, on occasion, shows up in front of the house, 6 1/2 years later). Gets out, and knocks on my door. I hear him, sounding drunker than a skunk, hollering that he just wants to talk. And then I hear the distinctive sound of a shotgun cocking. Talk my ass - I bail out the back door, down the alley, to the gas station, and call the cops and my Dad, telling both what was going on and telling Dad to NOT answer the door. They took a bit of time getting to me, and as the cop car was driving back up the street, I saw my ex's truck going the other way. Cops didn't chase him (dammit), and there was no "evidence" he was at my door...so nothing ever came of it other than a report. Even in as large a city as Los Angeles is, I occasionally see him in his work truck driving 'round my city (he works here), and still, on occasion, see/hear his own truck idling outside (I think...). According to Dad, my ex has never appeared on Dad's doorstep, nor bothered him, except for a long letter he wrote to Dad about me, and about our relationship. Dad offered to "share" it with me, but I declined. I want nothing to do with that man. And, he was a terrible lover. Ciels- Michele ~Do Angels keep the dreams we seek While our hearts lie bleeding?~
  23. The card read: My Dear Michele. I am so proud of you, and I love you very much. Thank you for being my daughter. Love, Dad." The card was stuck into a dozen long stemmed red roses. I cried. My Dad is amazing, perfect, and precious. And I just had to share that here. I hope your Valentines Day reminds you that you are amazing, perfect and precious to someone, too. Ciels- Michele ~Do Angels keep the dreams we seek While our hearts lie bleeding?~
  24. Very pretty dog indeed. Were any newfies entered? I'd love to see them if you have a shot. Ciels- Michele ~Do Angels keep the dreams we seek While our hearts lie bleeding?~
  25. Oh my, I'm so sorry to hear that. If I were in AZ, I'd be out searching in a heartbeat. If there's anything I can help with over the 'net, just let me know. My prayers and love are out to you and the family. Ciels- Michele ~Do Angels keep the dreams we seek While our hearts lie bleeding?~
