I did try the dive, and the dive part of the dive and dock was fairly straight-forward, the docking, however, which I've done before, I seemed to reduce my fall rate when attempting to move forward to my target, or at least that's what I was told. I couldn't tell if I was rising or she was falling. I was mainly curious as to whether it was an actual dive you had to do, or just getting small then going forward.

First off, thanks Praetorian for the advice. I will give that a try. Second, I stated I was working on my A license. This is why I'm hesitant to post on these forums after reading a lot of the topics/posts. If the standard advice is "ask your instructor" then there really is no point in this forum IMO. The forums are here to share opinions and ideas and that's what I was asking for. I will fill the profile out when I get off of work.

Someone with a little experience give me some pointers on a dive and dock. I'm working on my A license and could use some hints. Do I really have to "dive" like a slow track or can I adjust fall rate, then move forward and dock? Thanks.

anyone been disapointed when received new gear?
sng2k replied to frenchcloud's topic in Gear and Rigging
I can't say enough good things. My rig came exactly like I wanted, thanks to careful detail from the person I ordered from. My canopy turned out actually better than I thought it would. -
I ordered my Neptune from Jumpvideo a while back when demand was high and supply was very low. He managed to find me one, and at the best price. I'll continue doin' business with him. :)

What can we do about Skyride?
sng2k replied to ChasingBlueSky's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
What is funny is at the Alabama DZ, which I believe ASC, in Cedartown, GA owns, I've seen at least three people in the last two weeks get totally pissed because they used skyride and learned that they BOUGHT the certificate from Georgia, but in AL, you have to be 19 instead of 18 to jump so they had to go to GA to jump, which I don't believe they were told at the time of purchase. I've seen several other cases that are similar to this! They have PLENTY of pissed off customers, one of which I believe may file some sort of law suit. :) Why would someone use skyride anyway? Why not contact the DZ directly and possibly save yourself some money? Maybe you could find enough disgruntled customers and file a class action lawsuit? Who knows... -
Chris, there is another licensed skydiver at UAB. She's a girl too :)

I really like my neptune. I have only jumped it twice, but it seems to be accurate as far as speeds go. So far, no problems to report. I hope it stays that way.

They will offer deals on other mains. I just purchased what I feel is a very nice rig from them for what I was about to pay for a rig made in '01.
