    3 yesterday and 0 today winds were through the roof... from 210 to 240 they were 38mph+/-5 at 3,6,9, 12 with ground 20-35 gusting.... but the ground surfing was great on our cargo rounds and dirt!dive boards!!! video at 11..... WooHoo!! : DD

    I kind of think of NEWBIE jump pilots as (less than 300hrs) as an "apprenticeship" in a union that has 3-5yrs before they EARN their card to a JOURNEYMAN... Hang in there, do what YOU "HAVE" to do and it WILL come to ya!.. I am at a 182dz with low hour pilots from the university program (UofI at Willard CMI) and I love our pilots, they get there do OUR (collectively) job and they don't bitch! AND...They totally love what they are doing to boot! Years ago when I started, we had a pilot that was always edgy cause He wanted more and more... That kinda made everyone else a lil nervous! Yesterday higher than normal winds with 5 loads and Andy was dead on and HAPPY, today NO JUMPS, but WE made sure that our pilot had a GREAT day with some round cargo chute wind surfing down the taxi on our dirt dive boards.... It was a freaKing blast and Chris was ELATED.... Like I said, hang in there and it WILL come!!! Best Regards derek.... : DD

    As I am reading through these posts, I need to STOP here and ask; what if we ARE carrying a rig that just went through a recent FIREing of the AAD??? hummm! Where do we goto to find out about getting any "trace" residue off the componets of our rigs???

    .............and it is basically this same thought for me as well! Just because I have been "AROUND" our sport for 10yrs, but with ONLY 78 jumps, keeps me away from even a 3way... I have plenty of confidence when I am solo, but I am not a crowdy type jumper yet... I am not even sure about bigways in the future.... Some of dz buddies dont understand this but thats ok! In due time I tell them! At 45 yoa I actually LOVE the learning more now than I did when I started... It must be an age thangy BSSL : DD

    Bummer dudes and dudettes.... I have never made a trip there (YET) Does anyone know some figures like what is the asking price, how about an avg annual jump number? I myself am a winter, mountain type person about halfway into retirement and would just love to sink my teeth into something like this... EVEN if I could never get it payed off before my "permanent vacation" (cant take it with me anyway)at least the "regulars" would still have a HOME DZ to hang and jump at....! I also dont know much about DZ ops, but willing to learn and wouldnt make any major changes unless it was absolutely necessary.... I wonder if the currant DZO would sticj around for a brief time to aid in a transition??? Hummmm

    Yes, I do have a shit-load of guns that I use for hunting and target shooting. Maybe a few more guns than the average hunter in Montana. The head line might read "Crazed Gunman Finally Captured!" I have several cans of gun-powder that I reload ammo with. I'm sure a newsperson could twist that into how I might be planning to make bombs, and blow up the nearest federal building. Or they might look at some of my taxidermy projects and determine that I am a crazed animal killer who has a house filled with animal parts. but many can read through the bull shit. ===================================== Send me yr address cause when the sh*t hits the fan here in the states I wanna hole up with someone that is at the ready!!! I have been wondering just how many americans can actually discern the bullshit that our beloved media/gvt puts out there....

    WELL... I don't see where any of my input on this topic is needed! Looks like most if not all has been logically covered! However I will add this, if we become a nation where my right to defend myself (esp from a gvt that goes rogue against its people like in Sudan) with a GUN, then I am going underground and sharpen up my snipeing skills...     Gawd I could answer each one of the previous posts with something.... But here is my own take on this! I have been comparing SkYdIvInG to sex or visa versa for a long time and it goes something like this; 1- The ride up to altitude= FOREPLAY 2-The freefall =The CLIMAX!!! 3-Under canopy/landing= The after SEX cigarette/the meal WE fix together after all is said and done!!! 4-PACKING=getting ready for that NEXT date!!! edit to add; The minutes spent during each one of these is reletively the same.... The higher the altitude, the more time we are willing to spend with each other during that SESSION, and the HOPnPOP....well that.......you all get my drift!!! ; DD

    Well I am a CabSov man and also a Gran CruClassie type.... I tried a CS last week called RavensWood that was really tasty! 2005 I think... I remember telling myself to go back and get a case of it! But I bought more TeKILLya instead... Usually all of my GranCru is too pricey to buy in qty so I will treat myself now and zen... I personnely like the Gran Cru's from the St. Emmy area

OMG did I just say all dat??? Sure am glad that my kid isnt a memeber here yet!!! My problem with the Mrs./Miss./Ms. CLEAN look is that it reminds TOO much like a newborn....     COOL.... So like is yr daughter at the controls or just taken a plane ride to somewhere? I remember tracking my daughters from CMI to DFW to JFK and over to Heathrow... Cant remember those letters tho.... That was alot of fun doing shots, cleaning house, watching the plane tweak itself across the screen....!!! WooHoo I said when it popped up on the screen that they landed!!! Big fun that night was .. : DD

    correct me if I am wrong, but I am thinking that She is cleaning house for the winter and giving you stuff that she didnt have time to take to goodwill etc... But NOW yr giving Her stuff that she will probably give to me or someone else next winter.... a vicious circle of GIVING!!! ; DD
