So my manager wants to take the department out for a team building activity. Basically we would all leave work early one day and go do something together. My idea to go skydiving was shot down, even after I offered to pack for everyone! So does anyone have any ideas? We were kind of thinking like, go bowling, play whirlyball goto an arcade like place such as GameWorks. We really want to do something fun, but are having a hard time thinking of things.

I thought that was error 99 When we bought the lense and camera we did ask the employee if it was the updated lense so it wouldn't give us the error 99, he send it was.

Sigma 15mm, which was purchased at the same time (last week) as the XT from a camera shop. I'm not exactly sure of the year because I don't have the camera on me right now.

So I took my brand new toy to the dz this weekend. My boyfriend took it on a few wonderful jumps with him. A sweet hybrid, someones 4000th jump and a friends recurrency tandem. Starting shooting on Friday with it, took a bunch of freefall photos on Saturday with it and then received error 22. It totally locked up the camera, we stuck the memory card into a laptop and all the files are corrupt The card is Lexor (sp?) 512 mb--which I have heard suck so I will be returning those. We had a second card that a friend borrowed, he went up and shot some photos with just a Digital Rebel. We ended up sticking that card back in the XT, now those files are corrupt as well I did find this info about error 22: ERR 22: CF DRIVER DESCRIPTION: This error occurs when image data cannot be written to the CF card. This error can occur when the CF card is not fully seated in the camera or if the D30 does not detect a card-ready signal within a specified time limit or when the CF card is not usable because it has been corrupted or physically damaged. It can also occur when the camera's battery level is insufficient to completely write the file to the CF card. REMEDIAL MEASURE: Use the DC Coupler or recharge the battery first. If the error continues to occur with sufficient power available to the camera, check that the CF card is properly inserted. If that's not the problem, then try replacing the CF card. If that does not solve the problem, have the EOS D30 and one of the CF cards that is causing the problem examined by a qualified service technician. I haven't had a chance to try their suggestions, just wondering if anyone else has had this problem. The fact that all those photos are most likely gone is just heartbreaking.

Congrats to PeachSouthern on her 100th jump.

Congrats Peachy, that is so wonderful! Now hurry up and move your ass to Michigan so we can make some jumps! -
Always try to use an example when they ask you a question. If you have some really great strengths that didn't come up in the interview, say at some point. 'There are a few things I would like to tell you about myself that we didn't get a chance to talk about yet'. Be prepared for the typical questions. Strength, weakness, why should we hire you, how have you contributed to your current job, where do you see yourself in 5 years. Being prepared is most important.

So I stopped by Adray Camera last night and picked myself up a Digital Rebel XT. I checked out the 20D also, WOW, what an impressive camera, it was hard to set that one down and go with the Rebel XT. I decided though that since this is my first still camera, that the XT would be just fine. I can always upgrade later. Adray was totally awesome and worked out a great deal with us since we ended up buying some other camera equipment for the video concession. yay!! I can't wait for the weekend. Well hopefully I can pry the camera out of my boyfriends hands long enough to play around with it on the ground for a couple of weeks before I mount it to my helmet.

:??:0 Here are some cool pics from the weekend. Photos courtesy of Sporto. This was our first real weekend of jumping here in Michigan, and I must say, you wouldn't know it from the cool jumps that were going on. A lot of headup and headdown flying--unfortunately I don't have photos of that though. http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=1584945#1584945

Here are some pics from the weekend. Even though April 1st was opening weekend at the dz we didn't get to really jump until this past weekend. Most everyone didn't jump all winter and I have to say people were doing so awesome even though you may say they are 'rusty. Photos are courtesy of Sporto. Enjoy!

I'm going to Red Robin for a tastey guacamole burger and bottomless fries. What are you having for lunch today?

ohhh, that does sound fun. I had a great jump at Rantoul out of the Skyvan with my friend Lauren. We started from the front of the aircraft, held hands and skipped out the door! Good point about not hitting the door. I have whacked my head a few times being the last diver out of the otter on a RW jump. YES, most definately

Wow, Val, you look fantastic! It looks like you were born to perform

So, we are FINALLY jumping here in the midwest and I would love to hear some fresh ideas as to what to do in the air. Sooooo....do you have a favorite exit, favorite jump you like to do? On your feet, on your back, on your head? Have you tried something new lately and want to share with the group? Post a pic to illustrate maybe? I love jumps where of course the number 1 goal is to have fun, but like to work on my skills too and have a goal for the jump.
