I was talking to one of my co-workers today and she was telling me that her neighbors had recently moved out. So she's setting out on her porch and this little guy crawls out from underneath her neighbors porch... Not sure if they had abandonded him or not but he's mine now

Try here. They have decent prices and most stuff will ship the same day. A thunder of jets in a clear blue sky, a streak of gray and a cheerful "Hi"

Don't know if its the kind of thing you'd be interested in but there is a kick ass little wild life refuge in tucked away in Chula Vista. I lived there for like 3 years before I found out about it. Its on E street on the west side of I-5. I think its like 5 bucks to get in and you could easily spend an afternoon there. I'm sure this has been mentioned but there is also the word famous San Diego zoo. Enjoy San Diego and tell everyone at Otay hi for me. I sure do miss that DZ... I always wear a T shirt to identify myself as a skydiver. If the people ask me about the rig Im more than happy to let them look at it and explain the diffrent parts and how it all works and that it wont be used on this flight its just that i dont trust the TSA guys with it. However most people just give me funny looks and dont ask Not a bad Idea about the rolling bag.. or hell even a gear bag. A thunder of jets in a clear blue sky, a streak of gray and a cheerful "Hi"

I just thought this was funny so I thought I would share... I recently flew on Continetial and carried on my rig. I wore my neptune on because I just got it and wanted to play with it some. Well while walking on to the plan I get asked "Do you know something I dont" you know that sort of thing... The plan takes off and I think some people were watching me close since I was on the Emergancy exit row. As we climb my Neptue realizes were climbing and goes into airplane mode. The guy across the Asile notices the thing counting up and gives me a strange look. Well we keep climbing and I keep playing with my Neptune and I accidently hit the thing to demo the alarms... So there I am trying to get my audible to shut up as it goes trough all three of the warnings... Its like the entire plane Inhaled at once. as I look up (now bright red) i realize I am the center of attention as 50 people are now stareing at me waiting and Im sure expecting for me to make a break for the emergancy door... What ever you do Do not speed in VA! Actually dont drive in VA with out of state tags, period! Im in Chesapeake for a school, there are 8 in my class and so far 6 of them have gotten pulled over. 5 by the same cop. Every one of them was doing roughly 5 miles over the speed limit, if that but this particular cop writes them up for at least 20 over the limit one of them got written up for 30 over and now faces some jail time. When they ask to see the Radar gun he tells them that they cant. Isnt there some kind of regulation out there that says they have show them?? I think this guy just has it out for the Military. I see him on the road just about everyday with a car that has DOD decals on it pulled over. I now only drive like 50 in a 55 because I dont want to get pulled over by this asshole. Man this sucks... Okay. Im done I just wanted to bitch a little. A thunder of jets in a clear blue sky, a streak of gray and a cheerful "Hi"

After the first hole I was hooked so he gave me a diskcraft XS xtra long driver to start my own set... during the course of the game I found a Diskcraft Flash Maxium disk driver that some one had left in the creek. How sweet is that!! Out here in Chesapeke there are a few but I cant findd anyone to play with out here... A thunder of jets in a clear blue sky, a streak of gray and a cheerful "Hi"

I dont hunt so I think England would be a better choice What are the good DZ's near Molesworth?? A thunder of jets in a clear blue sky, a streak of gray and a cheerful "Hi"

Ahhh the dilemmas... If you could Choose either England (about 45 mintues north of London(I forget the name)) or Anchorage, AK to live in for the next 3 years, which one would you choose? Ive got those two options for my next duty station.. trying to weigh out the options and get some opinions from the DZ.com Masses...

I just don’t see a simple "one size fits all" policy that would work for everybody. Since everyone learns at a different pace some would be ready for smaller canopies faster than others would be. Also everyone focuses on learning something different. Some people want to learn about how their canopy flies and what they can make it do. Others are more concerned about flying their body and merely use their canopy as a way to get to the ground. If we implement a policy that regulates wing loading to jump numbers what’s to stop a person from just jumping a lot, not learning anything about his canopy, and then downsizing to keep up with the "cool kids"? I suppose a proficiency test could be given to make sure that person is safe to down size would work, but I have a feeling that that could quickly become a "buddy" system with people just signing off their friends, or people just not taking the regs seriously. Not to mention what would happen to all those people that are out there that don’t meet the standards set forth in the new regs? Would they be grandfathered in? Or would the DZs they jump at be given the daunting task of testing everyone? Would there be an allotted amount of time in which the DZs have to comply before their group Membership was pulled? Then would the smaller DZs be able to test everyone and have them all within standards in timely manner? And if not would half of their jumpers get fed up with the wait and the go else where? So now we've either got a bunch of people that the new regs don’t apply to or we have some pissed off people because they are now getting told that they can't jump the parachute that they own because it’s too small for them. Or option C we create a very complicated system that allots for just about all of those situations. Then it becomes a mess of "are you a CAT II Canopy pilot or are you still waiting to complete skill set A13?" Kind of thing? Which in my opinion would deter many people from continuing into the sport. Or would create some DZs that would just ignore the rules just to make the extra money. The best regulations are ones that are black and white and simply apply to everyone. Things become too confusing when we start allowing exceptions. The plans I've read would work well on a single DZ but not really on a large scale (I haven’t read all the proposals I'm sure) my solution would be to incorporate more canopy training into the initial student training. Explaining why wing loading is so important and show them why having a canopy that is of a wing loading and design that they can handle is important. Then make the different license harder to obtain by adding more proficiency requirements and offer prep courses that would help people pass the license exams... People would not be required to attend the courses but it would be recommended. Likewise people that already have the license and rating would be grandfathered in and be strongly encouraged to attend the courses to cover the new material. If people choose to take advantage of the training, great. If not that’s fine. It was offered. Ultimately People are responsible for themselves. As much as we hate to see our friends die we can't regulate this sport and make it safe. I guess what the point of all that was that we can’t make a foolproof system and even if we could people would find a way around the rules. Wow that turned out to be long. Okay I'm getting off my soapbox now... Dan A thunder of jets in a clear blue sky, a streak of gray and a cheerful "Hi"

Im thinking of getting a Tat. I wanted something that would always mean something to me so I played around with a design and came up with this... sorry for the crappy picture (its supposed to be a guy flying a canopy that looks like the Texas flag) My camera flipped the picture so the star is supposed to be on the left. I Also would get it in Red white and blue where it should be on the Flag. anyway the only thing Im not sure about on the design is the body position of the guy under the canopy. it just dosent look quite right to me... any thoughts of how to improve this? Thanks A thunder of jets in a clear blue sky, a streak of gray and a cheerful "Hi"
