  2. Great information folks i fully understand the system now!! So in another fifty jumps i want to fly a camera!! Do i have to have this whole system changed and both rsl removed and a new reserve handle fitted???? going back to a single pin, have been told that to fly camera it is advised to have rsl removed ??? markymark

  5. Hi, hoping some one can explain this two pin RSL system on the new Atom Legen R from Parachutes de France,as i am constantly being asked about it. Rsl to the right riser detatchable, to the left is another called a Gauche not detatcable, both lead to there own closing pin to the reserve. I have had it explained it is to stop a main reserve entanglement as the reserve will not go untill the left riser pulls the second pin,?? Anyone any clearer than me?? any issues you see here??. Thanks Marky marc confused dot com ;-) Front and rear view photos. markymark

  10. Oh man i sympathise with you on this one!!! I also suck on exits :-) Aff one was a great exit but now four levels later i blew every one, instructor writes every time, level two, de arch on exit and unstable good arch to recover, level three de arch on exit, very agressive but good arch to recover, level four better exit but dont be so agressive,,slow down breath out and relax into it and push yuor hips out like you want to make love to the wing ha ha ,he's a funny guy, just gotta keep it going till i find the right feel then it will click into place i guess, mind you being six foot two and stooped under the side door of a LET410 dosent help i think as i am in a de arch before i start, best of luck on ya next exit. markymark
  11. I am currently doing my AFF course here in the uk so i can only tell you what we do here but i guess it is the same over in the US, I am using a rip cord student rig, level one was three pratice pulls, arch reach and locate toggle with a flat hand then recover ,this is done three times,if miss directed the instructor will take your hand and locate for you,but hey dont pull on your three practice pulls, but please pull at the intended height ;-) yes here in the uk you pull yourself as the rip cord is live if you like,we then count the one two three four thousand and check canopy, then get control of the canopy, yes again you keep hold of your rip cord,or as i was told put it down your jump suit neck once you have canopy checks and control, but well i dropped it on my first when the canopy opened hard, that cost me a club fine of a crate of beer so hense i havnt done it since. good luck my friend mark markymark

  19. Hi Robert thankyou for you reply, definetly respect the risk! thats a great point as i have always respected the risk in my occupation, working at heigths every day gives you that.i just thought that doing some thing that i have trained and respect IE not falling would put the fear of hell into me but it didnt happen although as most people have said here it will kick in as i progress through aff and man i cannot wait!!. I see your into construction the same as me? what line are you in? i am into curtain walling, glazing the outside of buildings from floor to roof line so you see where the risk is,only an inch between me and the ground and man theres no parachute arggh.take care of yourself markymark. markymark
