Hey is anyone here playing Battlefield 2? I’ve been having lots of fun lately finding base exit points and figured it would be fun to find some like minded people, find an empty server, and make some base jumps/skydives together, (I think there’s a way we can “video” each other). Ha -- I guess that’s kind of stupid silly, but whatever I’ve been having fun finding new objects and catching the occasional high altitude chopper ride. If you happen to be interested let me know and we can figure out a day and time, and then look for an empty server at said day/time. out neilp

Skydive Spaceland--Looking for a jumping buddy
skip replied to frequencydrive's topic in The Bonfire
Yeah – I used to want to lean to free fly well and could usually be found sit flying by myself at spacey land, that is until one slow Sunday Jim (Gemini) informed me that I was about to go on my SCR. Hmm I don’t think I’ve tried to free fly since. Sometimes there’s just nothing like pulling together a great 4 way (whatever way) belly jump. Though I’m sure the same can be said for any skydiving discipline. Definitely get on some good belly ways though. But yeah anyhow Ill be out Saturday and/or Sunday, and am also out about every other weekend; look me up and we can make some jumps. neil p -
I was under the impression that the zero-g room or what ever was dead in the dirt.

Is there any word on how much observation rides will be in the balloon and chopper - regular slot? What about a ride in the powered parachute – non jumper? I’m getting married soon and wanted to bring my best man (whom occasionally will do a tandem) out for an different kind of day at the drop zone – I was thinking about an observation ride in the balloon, chopper, powered parachute, followed by a tandem skydive. I would also like to get in on some SCR’s. I’ve got mine as well as my SCS but would love to be in on some. Is there a formal sign up sheet or anything? Thanks neilp

The manual states that you can do either option 1 or 2 in this poll. -

Wing owners – how do you pack your d-bag?

I have had my new wings for a few weeks and though I have not had a chance to jump it yet I have been playing around with packing it. At first I was just putting the bag in and rotating the grommet to the top and line to the bottom as I do with my Javelin container. I noticed when doing this that the bag is so tight I can pick it up about a foot off the ground before it comes out. I then noticed in the manual that this packing method is not even mentioned. So I tried packing lines to the back pad and grommet up, and while it does not give quite the resistance that the other method does, the bag just doesn’t seam to fit into the container as neatly. There is lots of loose fabric between the reserve and the main and the side flaps do not make nice neat corners like they did packing the d-bag grommet up lines down. How do you pack yours? Thanks neilp -
I have the same problem with my new wings. Several times I have merely picked it up off of the floor and notice the handle has fallen out of its keeper. This is a brand new container, sized for the canopy I purchased to go in it, never been jumped. neilp

I have a friend who needs to host a ton of pictures and link to them in Ebay auctions. Does anyone know of a service that is like Photo Bucket but allows for more space (cost is not an issue). Thanks neilp
