In case anyone was wondering John Hoover has been back from Afghanistan for a few months now, he's doing great on his new team and did a great job in Afghanistan. He was even sent to the HALO basic course, but got to skip the tunnel and all the initial training, go figure! and all he had to do was the eval jumps out at yuma. I'm currently in Yuma for the HALO JM course and found out one of the guys in my class is on his team, that's where I got the info. actually on the GK video on exit they are going just over 180 and terminal they are going exactly 180. there's a road directly below them you can use as a good heading reference. everytime i do block 1 we end up going about 180, it just feels faster than trying to translate the pieces with any less rotation, even though by doing this you are moving the pieces 360 degrees relative to each other which is more than required. After deciding the bar was too crowded for my roommate and I to have any fun we came home to find that my other roommates had diminished our alcohol supply at the house and not replaced any of it. Get used to flying without being able to turn your head enough to make eye contact with the tail(if you're on point) find other references in the picture that you can use. Like when I'm at the top of a 14 I can't see the IC's eyes, but I know what the rest of the picture should look like so I just go off of that. Some people do have the ability to turn their head 180 degrees, like Craigh Girard, but for the rest of us mortals, and I know me personally my neck ain't that flexible. 2 way drills are an awesome way to train for outfacing slots, that's how I got comfortable doing them, and now I love outfacing because I know its almost always followed by a big move back to the center, and I luv them big moves History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid. --Dwight D. The only info I have right now is from the interviews that the nsl site has done with the team members, I just remember last year they had more competitions in their training plan, and my impression was that they were pushing themselves a lot harder. So no i'm not trolling looking for arguments, i want nothing more than to see excalibur stay on American soil. I'm just trying to find out if anyone with a little more knowledge on the team can enlighten me a bit as to how their training schedule this years compares to last. a canopy that will plane out on its own once the diving 270 is complete. I just got the call this morning that my new Pilot 168 showed up at the DZ today and I'm not going to be able to jump it until mid june. I have to work every night this weekend at the club and tomorrow during the day I'll be at my little sisters graduation, so I have no time this weekend and next week I leave for Africa for a month long trip for work.
