  1. Oh no, not another Leo thread! Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so. --Douglas Adams
  2. What's the point of having an RSL if you're going to disconnect it? Why would you even think of touching your RSL during a mal? Just get rid of the crap and get a good canopy over your head, as fast as you can. That's what the RSL is there for, to help you get your reserve out sooner. Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so. --Douglas Adams
  3. Yes. It's just something that I feel I should know how to do if I want to be a serious skydiver, which I do. Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so. --Douglas Adams
  4. I fell in love with Sam the first time I saw her. I knew that we would be together for a long time, sharing experiences and trusting each other with our lives. She was so beautiful, and strong, and put together so well. We just fit, snug and safe. And the first time I jumped her, well, she opened up for me just like a flower in the morning, and we got there together, as one, gently and passionately after a wild ride, screaming with pleasure. Of course, Sam is my rig. 5. One of your buddies needed a gear check too, his main closing flap wasn't tucked in. And on closer examination something is flapping off you on exit, 38 seconds into the vid. Clothing or handle or what? Glad it worked out w/o injuries. Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so. --Douglas Adams
  6. Sounds like good skydiver material. My X-mas breaks haven't been fun for years. Alcoholics can ruin anything. Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so. --Douglas Adams
  7. How many Californians does it take to screw in a lightbulb? None, they screw in hot tubs. Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so. --Douglas Adams
  8. That's exactly the point. Depression is a mental illness. His brain told him, through it's faulty chemical and biological functions, that this was something that he should do. I don't see it as any different than people who cut themselves just to feel something. It doesn't make sense from the outside, and it most likely doesn't even make sense to the person doing it, but it still happens. Depression is an extremely insidious disease, one that unfortunately a lot of people suffer from. Jeez, this guy really needed to talk to someone. Too bad it took something so awful to get him the help he needs. 9. Angelina. She is hot, and a tuff chick. Rene is ugly, and a bad actress to boot. The others are just average. Go to any college campus you can see girls that look like that. 10. Is this like when a cop shoots someone? Do they have to make sure it wasn't excessive force? Is there psychological help available to the dog? Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so. --Douglas Adams
  11. I think we have a winner. Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so. --Douglas Adams
  12. I'm the Dude. So that's what you call me. You know, uh, that, or his Dudeness, or Duder, or ah, El Duderino, if, you know, you're not into the whole brevity thing... Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so. --Douglas Adams
  13. Door fear, as evidenced by all these responses, is totally natural and you will get over it. During my training, I was constantly thinking, "Why am I doing this? I'm terrified! I'm gonna die! This is for sure, absolutely, the LAST TIME I am ever doing something so stupid, reckless, and expensive to boot!" Well... a few months later I've spent ~$7 k on this sport, gotten my own rig and a B license. You'll be fine. Just get out the door.
  14. Those clown ones are scary. Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so. --Douglas Adams
  15. Professional co-ed naked trampoline. I can't imagine anything but that being as fun as jumping. Plus I'd get to see almost as many boobies. 16. Guy hears a knock at the door. Gets up, goes to the door, and there's no one there. He looks down and there's a snail sitting there. He picks up the snail and throws it across the street. A year later, there's a knock at the door. The guy gets up, goes to the door, and there's no one there. He looks down and there's a snail there. The snail says, "What the fuck was that for?" Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so. --Douglas Adams
  17. Yup. King should have taken his time and made each one of the books worthy of the epic. But instead he just started cranking them out towards the end and the quality totally suffered. After The Wastelands they went downhill in a hurry, and I am totally disappointed in the series in the end. Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so. --Douglas Adams

  25. I wake up at noon and go to sleep at midnight. I also take a refreshing nap from 1-4 and then rest my eyes after dinner from 7-9. I also sometimes lie down a bit earlier if I'm feeling particularly worn out, say around 10 or so. I think I'm addicted to warm blankets. Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so. --Douglas Adams
