I'm not arguing that the answer is 42. I'm saying that it's not the answer to the question you asked. This statement is false. I think we're agreeing but with different words. Not worth arguing about. I'm going to go read some Douglas Adams and be happy. Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so. --Douglas Adams

No, because knowledge of the question and the answer are mutually exclusive. The answer to "what is six times seven" is 42. The answer to the meaning of life is not knowable. You need to read your Douglas Adams again, my friend. Do share, I've been looking for this myself. Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so. --Douglas Adams

The cleanup from the tsunami is going to cost billions of dollars. These people have lost everything. As the richest nation on earth, it falls to us to share what we have with those who now have nothing. Even if you think it doesn't affect you, I guarantee this event has changed the world. Think about how badly the economy got hit by 9/11. Now multiply that by 10,000. I just donated a tiny amount of money to the red cross international relief fund. If each of us gives just a little bit, we can help these people get back on their feet. http://www.redcross.org/donate/donate.html Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so. --Douglas Adams

Usually when something like this happens, there is immediately someone comparing it to tons of TNT or # of atomic bombs in terms of energy released. Anyone run across a number? As if they didn't have enough to deal with. Think I'll send some money to the Red Cross. Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so. --Douglas Adams

Anyone see that amazing display of defense put on by the Packers and Vikings yesterday? Good lord. Offense wins games, defense wins championships. Neither one of these teams has a chance in the playoffs. Anybody ever seen the "GOOD STUFF" skydiving dvd?
Dougiefresh replied to CieloDiosa's topic in The Bonfire
Yeah, it's pretty good. The only thing I don't like about it is the (edit: seemingly) fake backgrounds that make it look like people are flying 100 feet off the ground for miles. But some of the stuff at Eloy is just incredible. Edit: I don't know anything about photography. After Diablo's response I looked up long lens compression. Neat stuff. Sleep. Read about the things you like to do. Stretch so you don't lose the flexibility you've gotten from all that physical activity. Get some skydiving vids and watch those. Holy cow that's a unique combination! I bet you're hot, racial genetic mixing produces some amazingly beautiful people. It's thought that the mixing actually is a darwinian advantage, not only becuase you look good and get to pass on your genes, but because genetic diseases like sickle cell get diluted.
