I don't have sex on a monday. I have sex on a bed. Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so. --Douglas Adams

Can't you just block anything from gg.com? Or are you just using gg as a variable? Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so. --Douglas Adams

Not true. Why have it if it's just dead weight? I'll agree it SEEMS like some people don't use their whole brains, but the idea that none of us is using our brains to their full capacity is ludicrous. I had the same problem. The advice my instructor gave me was to roll up the leg cuffs of my jumpsuit. That way you can feel the air and how it's hitting your legs. If your legs are bent too far, you'll feel pressure on your knees instead of air rushing around your ankles. It's just one more piece of information that you can use to get your body position right. Good luck, and have fun!

That is the funniest thing I've seen in a long time. Thanks for the laugh. Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so. --Douglas Adams

I have it, and take Ritalin. I was diagnosed in college (about 4 years ago). I couldn't sit down to do my homework when I was a little kid. A doc did the whole personality profile thing, a bunch of tests on memory, analytical skills, etc. He wrote a 10 page report that concluded I had "an alternate learning style". That sounded to me like a copout, he just didn't want to believe in ADD as a real diagnosis. I'll never forgive that quack, he cost me a lot of productive years. I agree. You can donate without making a fucking press release about it. It's all politics and showmanship to make a good impression on people. You can't blame people for wanting to further their careers, but this seems an awfully tawdry way to do it. Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so. --Douglas Adams

How much did you spend in 2004 on skydiving
Dougiefresh replied to reddevil1's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Let's see... AFP + 60 more jumps + new rig + accessories + beer = way way way too much! I'd say around $7500. Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so. --Douglas Adams -
Can a 30 year old be scared on their first day o' school??
Dougiefresh replied to ACMESkydiver's topic in The Bonfire
I've been in school (mostly) since I was 4. I'm still scared every day. Don't worry, just talk the person next to you, make a study group, and get involved mentally and physically with the work. Don't isolate yourself, that just makes it harder than it needs to be. Do as I say, not as I do. Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so. --Douglas Adams -
