Remember this guy? Well, he's making progress, with the help of surgery and a team of doctors. Still got a long way to go though. What a bunch of bull. If you're interested, I have a perpetual motion machine I could sell you. Limitless energy forever! The only thing that's close to this in real technology is terahertz-frequency imaging, which can see solid objects through clothes. But I refuse to believe that one guy working alone made the ultimate weapon. Even Einstein needed people to thrash out ideas with. The Manhattan Project took years, with the best minds of several countries working on it. Nope, don't believe it for a second. I wouldn't take it seriously. Some people just have too much time on their hands. Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so. --Douglas Adams -

anyone work in materials science/semiconductors?
Dougiefresh replied to Dougiefresh's topic in The Bonfire
Fellow jumpers! I'm hopefully going to graduate soon and I've started my job search. If you think you could provide me with a connection I will be forever grateful. I tend to express my graditude in the form of jump tickets. I'm looking for a full time job in the materials science field. I have experience with MEMS and microfabrication, as well as biotech skills. Please PM me if you think you can help. Thanks so much! She had a C section. I would think it wouldn't work any other way. That's like trying to pass a bowling ball through a garden hose. I don't use the plan. I just know what it is. I like to be able to look at myself in the mirror. I guess I'm hung up on having self-respect and treating others the way I want to be treated. HOW TO SLEEP WITH 100 WOMEN 1. Sign up for internet dating service. This will be the best investment you ever make. 2. When you get a date, no matter how fat/ugly/grating she is, get her drunk. This will make you seem much more attractive than you really are. Roofies, while effective, are generally not a good idea. Alcohol is cheap and legal. At no time do you give her your real name. It doesn't matter what name she screams later. 3. Fuck her. Use protection so there are no commitments you didn't mean to make. If you are really serious about this plan, get a vasectomy. That way there is almost no chance of her getting pregnant, and there will be less DNA evidence if she presses charges. 4. Do not, repeat NOT, ever give her your contact info, or commit to contacting her if she presses her contact info on you. 5. Never talk to her again. 6. Repeat steps 2-5 as needed. Open question - why should skydiving be bigger?
Dougiefresh replied to billvon's topic in The Bonfire
The only reason I would want skydiving to be bigger is to push the sport forward. Who knows how many potential future champions never get their feet off the ground? There could be a lot of talent out there that just isn't tapped. Holy cool. Nanotech + biotech realized with a self-assembling nanobot. Yeah, but something moving that fast is going to have enough momentum to jerk your head when it hits you. Shouldn't he at least had a "WTF?" moment? And why is he nailing things with an open mouth?
