    Did anyone else notice anything unusual about this father-son skydiving story? They never once mentioned the name of the father, and he's the person that wrote it! He mentions that his son's name is "Kevin", but never his own. No author's name. No last name. No location where they jump. Nuttin! Are they in the witness protection program in hiding from the mob? Who are this father-son duo, and where do they jump?

    If you're judging the validity of people's political opinions based upon the number of posts they make, then you're way off base. Just sayin'. Making more posts here, does not increase how smart you are. In fact, it might just make you dumber, judging by the low quality of some of the frequent posters. So I would advise ignoring that kind of info in judging a post, and just judge it on its on content. But whatidunno, I've only got 20 posts...

    This vs Next

    If I'm standing at the head of the line at the bank waiting for an available teller, and they holler "next!", does that mean that the person behind me gets to go in front of me? Do I have to keep standing there until they holler "first!"? Or perhaps if I notice that they're always saying "next!", then I should let someone in front of me so that I'll be second in line, i.e. "next". But what happens if the teller yells "next", and I butt in front of the guy who is first in line and he wants to start a fight over it? Geez, quade, this is complicated. Are youi going to be there to explain to the guy why he doesn't deserve to be "next"? I guess that "next" has different meanings, based upon the context of how it's being used. In line at the bank, next means first.

    How does that work, exactly? A GPS only shows a point over the ground from satellite triangulation, right? So how does it know the winds aloft? Satellites can't read the wind...

    Here's a photo that goes with the description provided by JohnRich. Once they dug down about a foot, water started flooding into the hole. The surface was firm enough to walk on, but underneath was mush.

    Taxied a wheel off the side of the paved runway, just after a heavy rain, in a low-lying area... Stuck in mud!
